Trailer Manuals

I have made a folder on my computer of all my trailer manuals, which includes everything that Escape provided, as well as stuff I have installed. I also included a copy of insurance and registration in it too.

I have put a copy of this folder on both our phones, my laptop and my wife's tablet. Beats carrying around all the paper.

I was able to find just about all manuals online, but did have to scan my 9500E Awning one.

Does anyone else do this, and are there any other items worthy of considering adding?

I am not sure I could. I will try later when on my computer.

I could email if desired.

Actually, I do the same with most of my documents as well. Scan them in and upload them to Box.

The Box? Is this Dropbox? I will likely put them there too, but that is unreliable when I have no data reception, plus if I need to view them on my laptop, they would already be there. Pretty small files.

Box is like Dropbox, only made for a more corporate environment. I personally like it better than Dropbox. Address is www.box.com

You can always just supply the links instead of the entire files.

That's a good idea to put them on your computer/phones.

I'd like a copy to put on my laptop which I carry with me. Otherwise the manuals stay at home.

I was assuming that Jim was going to try to upload the files himself and I suggested he just supply the urls instead (I know I would have bookmarked the links, so that would be easy to cut and paste the information in a post). It might be faster for him doing it that way. Then others could download at their leisure and put it on their computers/phones/whatever.

I was not suggesting that others just look up the links when they need to. I know internet connections aren't always available when needed. Or super slow if they do exist.

Guess I didn't explain myself well enough to others. I knew what I meant!

It's an excellent idea. I have yet to have any actual manuals (end of May) but I do have my truck's manuals in PDF on iBooks/iCloud where my Escape manuals, photos of important #s, insurance and travel documents etc. will eventually be found.

I also try to do this myself. You have an excellent idea!

I found a Dometic fridge trouble-shooting document that I am going to include in my collection. Also, I am trying to collect solutions from our members for other troubles encountered in a word document of sorts.

Ah, some people retire to write their memoirs while others retire and contribute to (Escape) society with useful manuals. Cheers and free coffee for life for the latter!

Hey Fred, you silly person - supply the link for this document! Jeez, guess you don't have enough coffee in you yet to kick start the brain.

BTW, thanks in advance when you do supply the link.
