Hello Steve and Cynthia, glad you are having a great time! You should come to Morro Bay, we have a bigger ROCK than the one in Homer and you will not be disappointed with the California central Coast wine! :-) Would love to see you both again!

Hi Lori,
You are on our list of places to visit. I know CA is really nice. Hope we can get there sometime soon.

Steve

P.S. Just got to the Arctic Circle today. Pretty cool place to go!

Steve et al, just wondering if you realize that the awning draw strap easily slides out the rear end of the awning roll to keep it out of the way.

This bit of OCD has been brought to you by a disturbed mind.

Funny though, that other things (like a messy desk) don't bother me much though.

Yes, but then you spend an hour trying to remember where you put it and trying to close/open the awning without it is a real PITA.

An hour? If it takes that long to find everything you need to set up (like chocks, wrenches, blocks, etc), or tear down, it would be a full day job.

I always put mine right inside the access hatch. About 10 seconds to find.

Maybe they LIKE the 'Barber Pole' look Jim.

But you would need a red and blue strap to facilitate this look.

Yep. It IS OCD. You're right. Well, as someone once said, 'know thyself'.

I wrap the pull strap around the rolling part of the awning , nice and neatly and always to the front of the trailer right by the lever to retract the awning. The same way every time, perhaps I have a problem

In regards to the thread I must admit I will miss laying in bed in the 19 and being able to pop open a blind and enjoy the view out the back. On the flip side of that our daughter will be able to do that in the 21. I guess I will just have to get out of bed and go outside with my first cup of coffee.

Not to worry, Dave. Methinks we all have our own list of problems. 'tis what makes us individuals.

As long as it is not dark, I always do this too. Kinda check out how the day is looking from the comfort of my bed. But still, lots (and lots) of pluses to the 5.0 layouts.

OK Jim and all, isn't it time to get this thread back on track

I wish I had taken a picture of our first trip with our new to us 5.0 where we camped right beside the Rainy River (in the rain of course) so just imagine how it looked out our back - actually side windows.

We took a short trip to the central Oregon coast last week and stayed at Sea Perch RV "Resort" near Yachats. Our view from the back window was awfully nice. As for the other photo, it's clear that we were not blocking the view of our neighbors!

I've had a few different and wonderful "out the back window" views on my 2013-2014 trip, but this one at St Mary campground in Glacier National Park is one of the best:

That second picture reminds me of an economic phrase, "conspicuous consumption"
no wonder we are in a fix, so to speak.
