GREAT pies, if you get there early. Strawberry/ Rhubarb is my choice.

Thousand Lakes Campground in Torrey, Utah. We've been coming here since 2000, never get tired of this view.

Torrey has a very good Cidery and an excellent restaurant, Hunt Gather. not typical for a town that is 89 miles away from any stop light.

So great to see you guys out and about and doing that Utah Thing, and Capitol Reef in particular. If you haven't already done it, spend a day driving (and hiking along) the Cathedral Valley Loop. Highly recommended!

Assateague Island State Park, Maryland.

Maybe not exactly "out the back window," but this small herd came by just as we were preparing to hitch up and delayed our departure by a good half hour. Glad our camp host, who was camped across from us, fully understood why we were late checking out.

John: What loop were you in? I was down there June 2021 in Loop E and had a great time. Definitely planning to go back.

Also loop E. Site E113 surrounded by tents and so we had a clear view of the dunes and our surrounding space. The weather was great and we often had the whole beach to ouselves. We loved our time there and when we got home I immediately made a reservation for the same loop next year. We lucked in to our site this time by jumping on a last minute cancellation. I like that the Maryland State Park reservation system will notify you when a site comes available.
