Patagonia

My back window's a little different these days. Cruising down the fiords in Patagonia towards Antarctica. Saw first glacier today.

It's summer here but the weather is cold and wet. Supposed to kakaying the Straights of Magellen tomorrow. Hope the weather improves.

Last night we left the protection of the fiords and headed out into the rough open ocean so we wouldn't lose our satellite signal because people wanted to watch the Super Bowl.

Yesterday it was this, for a Agility, Rally, Obedience Trial. Today a Walmart parking lot. To catch the National Quilt Museum, in the am.

Whatever's out my back window, the cats will keep an eye on it.

Looks like they're enjoying the 'sun room'!

Is that snow I see out your window? I thought you are in Big Bend?

Near Las Cruces now on the way to City of Rocks, no snow here - must be just glare on the window.

Thank you WillyB. Newfoundland is in a number of ways the best of many worlds. Beautiful scenery, much to learn about society, mostly crown land, friendly population, never too warm, no snakes, little to zero crime. Though we did stay in a commercial campground two nights in Twillingate and patronized several other businesses there, this scene outside our back window was at a free dispersed campsite where we also spent several nights.

I found your spot on Google Maps.

I'll add this one to the old bucket list.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful pic. NL is on my bucket list. I've thought of it as having pretty harsh weather except for July & August. How are you finding it at this time of year?

"This time of year" meaning now -- April 4th?
Here's a pic from March 30th, Twillingate.

Well now, that's more like what I was expecting. Guessing that JohnK's pic is from an earlier trip. Thanks for a current look, Telescopist.

This was our view at Morro Bay SP. We saw this out our back window, but walked to the edge of the SP to get a clearer shot:

You may already know that this now famous shot of Johns was taken on Fogo Island. The locals told John it was okay to camp on the dock. Fogo Island is reached by a ferry in Fairwell, NL. He also mentioned that there was a 60 Minutes segment on Fogo Island. Very interesting.
