Where do you recommend that we go to camp & fish?

This post is a request to those in the Pacific Northwest who like my wife and I just love to camp and fish to make a recommendation for a great place for us to go. We have some time for a trip up into Northern California, Oregon or Washington or wherever... to camp in a beautiful spot and catch some fish. We will also explore that area and probably go hiking as well. I know you avid sportspeople out there like to guard your favorite spots but just PM me if you want to keep your favorite spot private. We are ready to go!

You could get really adventurous and try "The Great White North". North of the 49th that is. Lots to see and do up this way, your all welcome any time.

Well then, c'mon up for the Escape Rally in Osoyoos and after, or maybe before, check out the lakes around Kamloops. Look up Tunkwa, and Leighton. Chattaway Lakes may be a bit chilly yet ( near Merritt ). I'm likely going to Kane Lakes near Merritt or to Kettle River Provincial Park after the rally. Rivers are predicted to be high though this spring ( assuming they are open for fishing ).

Check out Lassen NP and environs. Beautiful, not overcrowded, wide variety of fishing, from lots of planted trout on upper Hat Creek to blue-ribbon fly-only trout water on lower Hat Creek. Many other places to fish, lots of great hiking, all the way up to the top of Lassen peak for the hardy. Very wide array of camping options in the area, too.

Check out The Fly Shop, in Redding, if you're interested in private waters. Hardly free, but you won't have crowds to contend with.

If you plan on heading north, you really should plan on seeing the Canadian Rockies. I would suggest a trip down the Columbia Icefields Parkway through Banff and Jasper National Parks.
