Winter 2020
Anyone making reservations for this coming winter? With the flu still doing it's thing I've been a bit hesitant to do so but today I decided to go for it figuring for a few $ I can cancel them if needed. Made 6 weeks worth in GA, still need a few more weeks. I was surprised last winter that so many of their State Parks are booked full on weekends in March.
This year we'll stock up the house before we leave instead of emptying it.

I think Frank outgrew the 5.0, his original choice years ago....but any Escape is good to have....

Parkliner
I think Frank had a sweet Parkliner when I met him. They camped next to us at the Wine Escape a few years ago. Hope to camp with him again. A very nice
couple from New York.

Personally we are not planning on going back to the southwest or anywhere else until at least the winter of 22/23 at the earliest. I figure this is going to be at least a 2 yr thing, like the Spanish Flu. It’s just my opinion, hope I’m wrong, but am speaking from 34 years of experience working with Infection Control in a Hospital setting. Wife’s a 35 yr RN veteran.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I would not be at all surprised if you are right. We don’t like the prospect but then again the prospect of getting the virus either. On the positive side we are eating better and getting some projects done. We try to look for positives in all we do and experience, though sometimes it’s hard to find. You don’t want to take a chance with old people my wife says. I don’t know what she’s talking about.

Yes you are right, Frank had a very nice Parkliner when I met him and his wife at the Eggbeaters on the Hudson rally a few years back. Hope you get your Escape this winter Frank. 5.0 or 21 it’ll all be good.

I even attended a rally at Frank's brothers place up by Albany one summer. He has a nice place on the river, there were maybe 12 campers on the lot behind his house. Some had water or shared water. We had to use their basement shower, but other wise his brother cooked dinner and a breakfast for us on large frills under tents. He took some on a boat up the river, nice weekend. Frank was there as well as other FGRV members- Oliver, Bigfoot were in attendance.
Called the Hudson River Rumble or something like that....

As I still have lots of work to do on the house, I am likely not going anywhere this winter. Give it another year and this project will be done, and we will be travelling a lot.
Plus, for us in winter it pretty much means heading south of the border, and even though the exchange rate is up a bit at $0.74 USD to the CAD, it would sure be nice to deal with an even better exchange rate. Some costs work out okay with the exchange, but many cost us dearly.
We had planned to head to the Maritimes in August for a couple months, but very much doubting that will be doable, so most likely holding off on that too.
