Forecast of -36°C (-33°US) tonight. Temperatures in US numbers are getting close to world ones. [emoji16]
I am going to have to find some gloves and a winter coat I guess. [emoji3587][emoji6]

I'm sure the sound of the hovering orbs in science fiction movies/animations have been ripped from the wings of hummingbirds. Love the sound. Love the birds.
Neighbour has a couple of big cedars in their yard...seems to be the roosting tree for the bulk of the hummingbirds in the immediate vicinity.
Like Ron, we're rotating our feeders just to keep a thawed one in service.

Took all of three hours for the nectar to turn to slush this morning.

We are running out of places to put the snow! Note that there is no hill in front of my house...that is just a giant pile of all our snow we have removed. Luckily our 5.0 is stored down in the valley...

In my career as a National Park Service IT network designer. I traveled to a lot of northern parks in the Midwest , we would get that kind of snow routinely those northern parks, in fact in the UP there are two sets of mailboxes, summer and winter. The last time I went to Sleeping Bear the snow was pilled so high there was a tunnel to get in the door and the deer had been walking on top of cars to get to tree leaves. That's a lot of snow for California.

I am fine with the sight of deep snow, as long as I don't have to go out in it and shovel it.

Well it’s not over yet.
30 mile hour winds coming tonight from border to Marysville Wa.
Thursday more snow on the way 4- 6 more inches forecast Bellingham ,Mount Vernon.
Already all roads are compact snow and ice.
High today was 20 F.
Winds will drive that down.

Got rid of my desire for snow growing up in the Rockies. Once we got 5 feet overnight.
Nowadays I see snow on the news. The only exception was the Texas freeze this last February, but they say that's a once in a lifetime event. One can only hope.

I'm in deep south TX (Kenedy Ct) and it was certainly a once in my lifetime (87) event.
