If reduced aisle width is a concern, another option might be to look for a larger aftermarket 12v compressor fridge that fits in the same space as the standard 3cuft absorption fridge available from Escape. It would be a matter of configuring the 17B with the fridge deleted, but prepped with the shallower cabinet for the 3cuft version.

IE: The metric dimensions of a 3cuft Dometic RM2351 absorption fridge (I think this is the model Escape uses in the 17) is 556 W x 766 H x 577 D. A 4.3cuft Nova Kool R4500 compressor fridge measures 514 W x 721 H x 533 D.

Of course compressor fridges aren't for everyone...but is an alternative that maximizes space.

I think you may have been the delightful people I had opportunity to share my 17B with in Idaho. I measured my distance between my 4cu. ft, and opposing side : 26.5 inches. Granted mine was built in 2017….but according to 2023 specs, only 0.5 inch decrease from 3cu, ft specs? …. I don’t know re 3 cu. ft. specs, but can fit 1/2 gallon milk container in door….. I love my fridge.

There’s probably some Murphy’s Law deal…You use the space you have… but isn’t it nice to have the space?!

It's well worth the loss of space but I agree- it isn't much. The smaller fridge sticks out more and I prefer the flush-mounted 4 cubic foot one. But I wish the floor plan were tweaked so fridge and bathroom were on the same side and a 2 foot runner would work on the floor. Right now the fridge cabinet sticks out more than the wardrobe cabinet and the bathroom more than the counter so there is a jog in the floor plan. There probably isn't a great way to do that, though. In the 15A the fridge is almost on the floor and I prefer the slightly elevated one in the 17b, but that also means it can't be under the counter.

Anyway- I love the larger fridge.

Hi Susan! Yes it's us! We couldn't remember what size fridge you had in your trailer; so happy to hear that it is the 4cu ft as that is what we've decided to go with and I don't remember yours being too cramped. We submit our build sheet in a few days and pick up in May! process sped up quite a bit from our deposit day. Thank you again for being a gracious Ambassador. Hope your trip East went well last fall! Kim

So excited for you two! May isn’t all that far away! Congratulations!

Thank you - yes trip went very smoothly. Even managed to get home before the snow was flying - just barely, as it was Thanksgiving Day.
