17B Front Bench

How wide is the front bench in a 17B? If you delete the front cabinet by the door how wide and ling is the right hand bench?

Don't know the answer to your question Eddie, but I'm considering the same thing. I've seen pictures of the 17B with the end cabinet removed, and it looks like a nice place to stretch your legs a bit. Of course you would lose that upper storage space but still have the space under the bench. I think I saw a post where their build sheet wording implied that the bench was the same length as the 19 when the wardrobe was removed.
I saw a picture of the extended front bench on this thread.

Maybe I could build a wood slotted bench to bed extender (Like used in Vans.) and sleep two up front with the cabinet removed. But without measurements for the front benches I can't make a decision on what to do. Thanks for the reply Dave. Can't seem to find 17B front bench measurements in the Escape literature or on this site.

I have been looking at the 17B 2017 and above body style.

I have a 17B (until Sunday, when it goes to the new owners) so I will measure it for you. Here is the mod that I did to remove the cabinet and extend the bench area. Really opens it up.

So, newer, flat sides?
BTW. I use the wardrobe and the top of the wardrobe a lot. It's the pass for food and dishes going in and out of the trailer. Under seat storage generally requires moving stuff that's on top of other stuff.

I don't see an advantage to removing it.

It appears the length of the modified bench would be the same as the 17A, which is 52".
