Laura because we don"t have a double sink the cover is useless . You wouldn't want water going underneath getting wood wet . I did put a finish on wood but got tired of having to always remove . On Amazon they have these sink covers . They can get wet . You can put hot or cold on them if needed . They also roll up without removing . you don't need to install in wood . They can go across your sink . Water just goes through to drain . Pat

You can if you have a "Masters Degree" from the Carpenter's Union, like Pat!
Pat,
Did you make that combo wood sink cover/drain grate, or is the whole assembly available commercially? Looks like something I have to add to my list.

Don how did you know ?Right there I think off of Dawson . Anyway the roll up sink drain came from Amazon . They have more then one size . The wood is a cutting board , I routered out so roll up drain would fit into. I have since put a finish on wood because I got tired of having to oil wood . The roll up drain can go across your sink . Because of it's material it stays put . It can also have very hot or cold put on it . I need can get more info later if you need me to . Pat

Don sorry hadn't had any coffee yet . I cut the middle of cutting board out , leaving enough for a ledge to router for the rolling drain . Pat

Roll up dish drying rack
The key words for a search on Amazon are in the title of this post. Only 960 matches, of which not all of them will be what we're looking for. But the first page showed a heck of a lot of 'em. One of 'em even had blue edges on it! Wonder if any have purple.
Will have to research this later - thanks for the info, Pat.
