Worth the prewire? And are we talking 12v? Maybe we'll add.

The prewired for lighting is worth it IMHO the cabinets are deep and can be dark. The camera power and video cable is a thought, I do not know your vehicle at all but in my Tacoma I have a camera in the tail gate to see behind me backing up, It is handy to hook up too I have modified it to be able to switch it on at will. My stereo system can also display a video feed my eventual plan is to do a hardwired camera on the back of the trailer for traveling use and backing use. Hook it to the stereo's screen and be able to use it at will also. The wireless ones seem to be all over the map on reviews.

Maybe so. We like the little battery powered led puck lights in cabinets too. Have used one at home in a linen closet and it's been going strong for 2 years now.

They are good just have to remember to put lithium batteries in them they last longer in the cold . I know your in SA,TX but I have seen 12 Deg in Austin before .. Btw that is the temp that an air tool freezes up at when operating off a gas powered air compressor out side.. LOL I just like the idea of not having to worry about that many batteries to change.

I think the spray foam also helps keep the Heat out in warmer climates, just think about how hot asphalt gets on a hot day.

ETI charged me $25 per 12V drop in each bank of cabinets and underneath the bed area to light up the storage later with LED lighting I'll be adding.

Yes, you do gain space. Quite a bit of space where it counts. When I'm in Ten Forward this weekend, I'll measure the outside of the 2-burner cooktop and let y'all know precisely what you gain/lose depending on position. Essentially, in the horizontal position the area behind the cook top is "spice storage," not food prep use.

I know this is a 3-burner, but pic gives you an idea of the sort of space you are dealing with.
If you have the stove cover, the area behind the stove can't be used for spices or other small items. Turning the stove sideways in my case would block access to my knives.

We are not getting a stove cover, opting instead for the 'Myron mod' approach with a homemade cutting board/cover. We like the idea of spice storage behind the stove as well. So we went with the standard config. Jim has me curious though about the swapping of the sink and stove locations. Gotta think on it some more.

Donna, don't forget to send me your stove top measurements (Length, Width, and Height of Knobs - or burner grates if they are higher) so I can make your "housewarming present" tray when I get back in the shop 8/2.

I did it on my 19' Escape because I wanted the window away from the door for a better balance look inside and outside. But you have to switch the stove since the window can not be near the stove.

2 burner gives you a lot more room behind and beside. The 3 burner I have seen dont even have room for a coffee cup behind the stove. Also we could never see when we would use 3 burners.

Not fair. That's a 2-burner in a 19 counter.

Good point. "Calling all 17 owners with a 2 burner stove turned sideways and/or the sink and stove reversed."
Or better yet, if a 17 owner could go to the trouble of measuring the entire countertop length and depth, the sink dimensions and the 2 burner dimensions, I could do a visio.

Yes it is a 19' and here is another 19' with a 3 burner to give you an idea how much bigger it is.

Don't know how into such things you are, but we had the unit prewired for the Bogart Industries Trimetric Battery Monitor. You supply the cat 5 or 6 and ETI will run it to your choice of locations.

I like it.

OK, added the EMS, added $150 for the digital thermostat. Jim convinced us to swap the location of the sink and stove, which also moves the sink window location. Spreads the windows out much better I think, and adds a touch of the upholstery color in the middle of the trailer because of the valance.
Still not convinced about the foam. Alot of opinions here that go either way. Asked ETI, and they basically said what others have stated, that it does help keep heat out as well as cold.

17B galley counter
We really like the opening window over the sink by the bed, let's air flow by even when it's raining.
Not sure what is to be gained by removing range hood as it is up against the wall.
We like the space behind the stove....

One less hole in the shell, and one less ugly yellowing vent cover on the outside..just IMHO.
