If you went with a custom floor, please share product, photos, and links. Thx.

Flooring

Easiest way to go is to find a good quality vinyl flooring at a local flooring shop (Armstrong, etc) then call Jackie at Pioneer Building Supplies, she will see if she can get it for you and have it delivered to Escape for installation. That is what I did, here is a picture of mine in production right now.

Looks great! Is this just a matter of what the flooring costs and Escape puts it in as if doing their usual flooring?

There is a $100 charge if you want custom flooring and you have to buy the flooring and get it to them. Jackie at Pioneer was a huge help in getting it done.

Allure flooring is one common make of vinyl like Hugh used, and can be bought at Home Depot. It is an easy install, and looks great. Not near as warm as cork, but it is most likely what I will be using in my daughters trailer.

We used a similar vinyl flooring in our home kitchen (different wood/color, but plank pattern) and my wife loved it. It hides the dirt and dust so well, which would be helpful in a trailer where much gets tracked in from outdoors. Great choice!

Spent a lot of time at Pioneer then at home looking at samples. Glad we didn't spend the $$ as we use throw rugs anyway. Maybe better to do a cork floor on top of the stock vinyl down the road.

I like the default flooring in Ten Forward. So little of it shows with the rug runners I use, that spending extra money to change it didn't seem worth it. YMMV If and when it wears out, then I can think about changing to something else.

My vinyl is Congoleum Ultima Sandstone (Jalapeno). It was expensive as ETI pays next to nothing for their vinyl so the difference between that and what the client provides can be significant. For my 15A it was well over $400 without the stocking fee. Would I do it again? Absolutely. (Although unlikely as I hope Egbert is my forever trailer.) I like the stock vinyl but I like mine better and I see quite a bit of it as there is only a small rug at the entryway.

That is a beautiful floor - really like the colour tones , however if we ever change the flooring I think we would go with Jim's cork . We've seen it , it is beautiful and really does have a warmth . But we do think it will take a while for the ETI vinyl to wear out we seem to like having our shoes off , also have "trailer slippers ".

Love your flooring! Have a build date in December for a 21 Escape. Would you share the name of your flooring? Thank you! Andrea

Not sure which post you are referring to, Andrea, but my vinyl is Congoleum Ultima Sandstone (Jalapeno).

I really like this flooring that you have. You said its from pioneer building supplies? Where is that, Canada? I just ordered a 19' escape and am looking into the custom flooring option. Any help would be well, helpful. Thanks!
