ETI 2022 prices are posted
The ETI website shows 2022 prices now. You folks that built in 2021 got a good deal.
It looks like Karl's comment 6 weeks ago about a 5% increase was premature.

I’m on the waitlist for June ‘23 delivery. Maybe I should buy an Oliver sooner and sell when I get the Escape… Kidding, but might just work!

Agreed. Just was reviewing the difference in pricing. Most items increased by about 10%. There were just a few that had a reduction. I was sadly surprised that it wasn’t closer to the 5% Karl had mentioned in a recent Video.

2022 price increase
Having just put down our deposit on a new 19 last week I expected a price increase on the 2022. The 2022 19 base price has increased by $3,000 U.S. over the 2021 to just under $30k today on the Escape website.. Not surprised but not pleased either.
All things in building from lumber/plumbing/electrical have obviously gone up in the last year but the 10% increase will definitely cause me to take a close look at options and ultimately whether we decide to move up from tent camping or not. Won't consider a sticky or pop up, the Escape 19 checks all of the boxes.
Our build date is May 2023, hope to move up into 2022 to avoid more price increases. I feel like we really missed the boat by not purchasing 2 years ago when we last looked at campers.
Edit: just noticed that the options went up 10% too, good thing I got that 2.5% pay increase this year.... looks like a base 19 with 1 solar panel, 2 6v batteries, and a storage box. Gotta draw the line at some point.

Wow! Now I know why Karl’s statement on around 5 percent increase was removed from the last Q&A video. I’m thinking the price of my 2017 19 foot that will go on the market when I take possession of my 21C just went up in value.

I just priced a new E19 using the exact same options that I have on our current 1st gen 2016 model (we got very few options), comes to just over 34K. We paid just a little over 23K back then.

Just compare priced our 21NE order sheet (ordered Jan2020/got Jun2020) against the new 2022 prices. Price has gone up with all the same options = CDN$3,000.00.
Roughly 6% increase from the Jan 2020 pricing sheet.
Like a frog in cold water and brought to a boil. I suspect this is the beginning of an increasing inflationary trend over the next 10 years.

Glad I saved the sheet with '21 prices. I still have to finalize for my November delivery. I think it's worth recognizing that Escape could've easily bumped prices sooner - I'm sure their costs have gone up.

Interesting...
I dream of the 19' and I just did my "build sheet" using 2022 prices to compare with my 2021 "build sheet". My dream build sheet is not yours, but may be representative for some.
The base price increased by 2.3% This is the amount that ETI has some control over, and you can see they are holding their increases to a reasonable amount IMO.
Most of the options are up 10%, but not all.
Overall my build went from $CDN48.2 to $Cdn49.9 or 3.3%. Still not cheap of course
Highlights of my build:
- no decor options
- full off-grid package
- removable power, EMC, two-way water heater, Springfield table mount
- no A/C or Power awning. No lift or aluminum rims
- Oven, Microwave, compressor fridge
- A few USB/12V outlets, and one counter extension, 1 reinforced wall, cot
- No TV
- framed windows including kitchen and bathroom
I haven't compared how Cdn and US prices have deviated given the Exchange rate changes.
Just my $0.02 but I'm satisfied with the increases, and don't have a sense of gouging.

So unfortunately for us Yankees it sounds like we got the bulk of the price increase because in U.S. dollars the base price went up $3000 or about 11%.

US dollar has lost ground to the Canadian dollar so that has some to do with the larger percentage increase.

USD is currently 80 cents to one CDN. It's been as high as 84 cents USD in the past two months.

Agreed on their costs and it looks like they just did…or something very similar. Just got an email from Karl stating they have reached their threshold for 2021 pricing. I apparently now have the option of requesting delivery of my May 2022 trailer in November or December 2021, but at 2022 prices (and keeping a 2022 build date on the sticker). No guarantees but there are production slots free.
Anyone who already has a 2021 build date still gets 2021 prices.

Price increase
I've gone ahead and watch the video. When you consider the exchange rate between Canada and the US. The general increase in prices. It's about the range I was assuming they were gonna raise it. Although it's interesting to put in for the additional slots for November December I would not be ready until the end of the second quarter 2022. It's not the money issue it's other things that have to be in place before I can move forward. I have a suppose a delivery date of 3/2023. If there is enough E-19 sold I can see myself moving up into the last quarter of 2022. One can only hope!!!!!

Delivery is also going up in price according to the email I received today. Probably 10%.

It's probably still cheaper to have the trailer delivered than pay for gas, etc.

That seems like a considerable increase over 5 years. If I’m doing my math right that’s about an avg 8% increase per year.
