I'm starting to lean more toward frameless on a 17B, but another $950 for a power awning isn't appealing to me. Of course they might be willing to do a framed window just in that spot.

On my 19 they open about 1/2 inch before they hit the awning arm.

I just asked the other day if I could get the framed on two windows only and the rest frameless, answer was not an option. You can get all framed and the back window a frameless split opening.

We have the 19'. We can open the dinette and passenger side bed windows about 1/2", the galley window is not blocked. While traveling and stopping for the night we always leave the manual awning arms down and just crack open those 2 windows, then the galley and driver's side dinette and the 3 rear windows open to their fullest. It really provides enough air

Good info, thanks. 1/2" with the fan on low will draw a breeze in for sure.

I have been living full time for three years in a 21 in Nevada and Arizona and do not like the frameless windows for the following reasons:
1. Poor airflow
2. Difficult in installing temporary auxiliary AC options
While the built in AC does a good job it could use some help in 100+ temps. So I'm going to try and use portable ac and adapt the "escape" window for exhaust. When I upgrade in in 2+ years to a 5th wheel I will limit my selection to one that has at least some traditional slider windows

some where I seen a picture of a window AC unit installed in the emergency exit window. They made a plywood platform with lip to fit over the window frame . It had a 45 degrree bracket for support . everything just set in place. maybe you could do something like that.

So, do they only open 1/2 inch with the awning up or 1/2 inch anytime up or down.

The awning widows provide great ventilation. Even is the hottest weather we have never had need to open all of them. The breeze with the fan on low speed worlds great.
I have had sliders in all previous trailers and would never like to go back to them. They do no better at ventilating, operating is not as nice and they look outdated (to me).
Regardless of window style, the only way natural ventilation can happen is with a breeze. Mostly we just use the MaxxFan to create this breeze, and it does the job nice.

The ones that are blocked by awning arms will only open a 1/2" while awning is in.they will open more when awning is out. I solved the problem with a power awning. I did not like the idea of having to make sure the windows where closed to retract the awning. each has there own preferred setup.

My post was not in response to yours, or I would have quoted it. 'tis what I do. [emoji6] It was just a general observation.
