Since I likely will never sell it I am guessing my people won't have a clue to its true worth. Some lucky buyer will probably steal the thing.

My feeling is a fair price is about a decrease of $1,000/year of age, with newer units about twice that. But, in the current market conditions that may not hold true. I'm looking for a 17B, but I'm not in a big hurry, and I feel current used unit prices are way too high. My own philosophy is don't buy when markets are high. So, I'm waiting for prices to come down some. If I have to pay 65%+ of new, I'd rather just buy new.

If you cared to look at my idea, it’s just a way to reconcile the difference between new price, used value and depreciation. A way to quantify something that seems to be getting decided by feelings, and many people have been seeming to take advantage of the long lead time by charging high for their used trailers. Please be nice.

Lots of people on here think the prices are "worth it"...Most of the used inventory is gone in days and sometimes just hours.... The time Value of money at play...

From the Boler History page:

“The first ad for a boler appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press, July 19, 1968, $1495 at 466 Higgins Ave. and another ad in the Free Press on November 9, 1968 advertising an 800 pound fully equipped boler for $1695. Initially, Olecko met with dealer resistance, as the boler price of $1400 was thought to be high at a time when you could still buy an aluminum trailer for $895 (1968).”

Fiberglass trailers are expensive today the same as they were when they were first produced in Canada.

You can still expect to pay high prices in Canada even for a 50 year old one. Nothing fiberglassed (Boler or other brands) are priced under $5,000 unless the shell is damages or the frame is broken. $10,000 is the going rate for the average trailer and $15,000 and up for something completely redone.

At the Boler 50th birthday celebration in 2018 there were 321 Boler brand trailers show up and another 100 Fiberglass trailers of all makes. So Fiberglass may be twice the price of a stick build…but with care they can last many times longer.

Considering the price increases due to world situations and the demand…I would think a price in the area of what a person paid in the last few years would sell.

However at some point older Escapes will be worth more than they originally cost and I don’t expect to ever see one for sale no matter how old for under 25,000 in Canada.

This trailer just came up on Facebook for sale in Canada and the seller states it is in ruff condition and needs lots of work. Some of it has been gutted inside and he would like $10,000.

In 2002, I paid $4500 for a 1988 16' Scamp Deluxe. I could sell it today for $12,000 easily. And no, it's not for sale...yet

My point, hang on to your Escape long enough and you may get a LOT more for it than you initially paid.

Yep! The Bennett's were between us and Adrian and Beth were on the other side of me. Honestly, attending the gathering and the subsequent Big Trip is a highlight of my LIFE
