Your build sheet should have that info, no?

Nope - HP 700-215-O Gold - 1 year.

Great looking graphic when it was new. I guess I shouldn't complain - it lasted twice as long as the manufacturer said it would.

In case anyone is wondering the graphics color Escape used on a lot of the early trailers before many buyers started picking custom colors was Spectra Red 700-460-O. I see it is now discontinued.

I have a 2016 21' with the same gold graphics and have had no problems with peeling or fading. I do use 303 on the graphic as well as the fiberglass.

There are two gold colors - HP 700-215-O Gold and HP 700-253-O Imitation Gold.

215 has a one year life and 253 has a six year life. Are you sure you have the 215 that failed on my trailer? It will be on your build sheet.

Also, my trailer is stored outside - keeping it inside for storage would have probably made the graphics last much longer. (I use 303 as well on the graphics, rubber, and plastics every three months)

If you have the 215 gold and store your trailer outside, then I don't know why mine failed but your's is fine. Luck of the draw?

Very interesting. Looks like our color has been discontinued: HP 700-960-O Terra Cotta. Fortunately it is rated for 6 years. 1 down, 5 to go.

Tom, Thanks for the link!

My experiences with vinyl materials, black is nearly always the most durable

Agreed; sometimes it's nice to know the degree of 'sacrifice' in getting a little color rather than going for the default robust black

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised at the degree of predicted difference (or lack thereof), but for some of those colors I am.

We have Real Teal on our trailer . Now 7 years . One side in the sun is the side we have to keep adding 303 too constantly . Was wondering about poli glow or other sealers would help ? If they vinyl start pealing will just replace just don’t care for the bare look . Glad the kids said to go with the Teal because the other choice was Spectre Red . Pat

Like PatandLinda, we have Real Teal. And it's still really Real after almost 5 years.

I'm wondering what color 'High Gloss Transparent' fades to

Fading aside, I'd like to know why TDF-Texas's vinyl graphics are peeling. Mine are 12 years old and I've seen no indication that the vinyl is deteriorating.
I know you get more UVs down there, but I do wonder. My trailer has lived outside all its life. I've never applied 303. I've only used Simonize Wash and Wax and maybe twice a year properly waxed the trailer.

It has to do with the way the film is made. The gold 215 film has a metallic finish in it that looks great but accelerates the damage from UV to the vinyl.

I'll be replacing the Gold with HP 700-630-O Olympic Blue and it should last many years as well. I really liked the gold but can't put up with replacing it every two years due to film failure.

That some color choices last longer than others is why I started this thread. When I ordered my Escape, I didn't know this or I would have made a better (and longer life) choice.

Tom maybe like the metallic paint on vehicles . Never had good luck , it sure would degrade . When you replace the graphics it will be like you have a new trailer !Pat

Thus the appreciation from this prospective purchaser, Thanks Again!

I ordered my Casita 'naked' which IMO works well for that 'egg'; methinks the Escapes look better with the side graphics (I've done a crude 'MS-paint delete' on some pics from the website), though I might choose to forego the large front graphic.
