I've read the comment frequently here on the forums that everyone is different, and the different sizes of the Escape will appeal to each person differently, but I just can't believe how true that is after my experience in the last few weeks. After researching myself half crazy, I had decided the Escape was for us, always with the Oliver in the back of my mind.
Looked at the 21c and was not a fan, but liked the Escape brand enough that I put a deposit down just 3 weeks ago for early May 2021 delivery. Then decided I needed to at least see an Oliver in person to be sure the Escape was right for us. I felt like I was cheating!! I was infatuated with it and spent the last two weeks trying to figure out how to talk my hubby into spending an extra 30k or so.
Today I was lucky enough to get a tour of a 2017 5.0 and after thinking that I was all in on the Oliver Elite II, I bounced right back to the Escape. Seeing the 5.0 was a completely different experience for me compared to the 21c. So for those of you that are shopping, if at all possible, go see these things in person. I knew the 5.0 was right as soon as I saw it and now we can load our 5.0 up with all the options that we want and feel like we're saving a bunch of money and still getting an amazing trailer. At least that's how I'll pitch it to the hubby! All of the owners who have shown us their rigs have been amazing and so generous with their time and expertise. Happy to be joining this clan.
