'tis the car with the 5.0TA too. The only anomaly is that with the slider style you can get single pain venting windows in the loft.

As of a couple hours ago (when I checked them all), the Escape website says this applies to all models.

Yeah, it's been that way for a while, I think. Yeah, weird, huh?

The way pricing is right now, people that are dubbing between a 19 or 21 are almost better off going with the 21 price wise. Hardly any difference. Quite some option that are not included in the 19 are included in the 21.
But yeah, you have to love the lay out....

Window opening size is not the sole factor used when determining window ventilation . Window design has a large effect. An awning and a casement window are basically the same window just oriented differently. Casement windows allows much better air flow than an awning window . The assumption that because the new frame less , thermopane windows that Escape is now using has a larger ventillation opening , that ventillation will automatically improve is a false assumption

The new awning windows can be used in the rain and left open in case of rain. In addition, there are not any more black streaks caused by the putty around the frames, a cleaner, sleeker looking Escape.

anyone know of a trailer manufacturer other than Escape that makes a single hull molded fiberglass trailer that uses frameless windows..HEHR windows or other mfg?

all this camper can find is Escape who has only been making this configuration for a few months....so if that is true the "design" is currently being tested on the early adopters.
ain't saying its bad, but it does appear to be an unproven "design" or an "application" in a single hull fiberglass trailer!

I'm guessing that Hehr knows a thing or two about making windows and application of same.

Frameless windows has been used by Lance as well as other high end manufacturers, but none in the molded fiberglass in the US. European have been using them and the thermoplastic awning windows for years.

the question was ...does anybody know a mfg other than Escape that uses a frameless window in a SINGLE HULL Molded fiberglass trailer?
this is not about the HEHR window ..but about its application in this type trailer..its about trailer window framing design and its effect on frameless window glass seal type over time...
it appears Escape is the 1st and thus may be the lab rat trailer....may be good over time and may not...who knows!

does anyone know if HEHR specifically approved of the Escape single hull frameless window design for the window and does HEHR know anything about a frameless window in a single hull fiberglass molded trailer if no one has made one yet except Escape for a few months?

Single hull fiberglass is not the issue, proper manufacturing and installation is, whether in a single hull fiberglass or double hull or aluminum or SOB trailer, the windows still function the same.

granted windows do function the same....but the trailer wall design, thickness and wall support structure for the frameless window may have an impact on the long term integrity of the seal on the frameless window..it appears specifically that the single hull application is unproven over time, while all the other trailer applications for frameless windows have some history which is discussed good and bad on the web.

I am missing the point of concern with these windows in the Escape. I am not following what the issue could possibly be with a fibreglass shell. I'm sorry, but to me anyway, it seems we are just fishing for something to worry about. Hehr has been working with Escape for some time now, as well I completely trust Reace knows what he is doing.
