Mirror -- not for your rear view! For your face view!

We've had our Escape for about 18 months now and the one thing I think we still haven't quite figured out internally is how to mount a good sized mirror somewhere where it'll stay for the long haul without messing things up. We have repeatedly tried to use that damage-free 3M tape to mount a largish baby mirror (plastic so it's light) on our bathroom door -- the damage-free tape so we won't tear the faux wood "wallpaper." But this has fallen off for the umpeenth time now, and I'm giving up on that plan.

What do all of you use? We'd prefer to have something a little bigger than those small 4x6ish shaving mirrors people hang around showerheads, etc ...

I have a plexi mirror about 12" X 18" that is held to the inside of the bathroom door with double-sided tape. It's been there since 2008 and shows no sign of releasing. I used tape on all four edges.
When positioning a mirror, you have to pay attention to lighting. As I have it ( see photo ) the face is illuminated with the light from the bath ( right ) and the light just inside the door of the trailer ( left ).
My buddy put his mirror elsewhere and had to install a light to make it useful.

So -- you just went ahead and used the "serious" sticky tape on the door interior? On that white, vinyl stuff? I guess if there's an issue there it's much less visible.

You don't happen to recall where you got your mirror do you?

I don't recall what brand of double sided tape I used. The mirror I got at a glass shop, cut to size. Wasn't terribly expensive, but not Walmart priced either. I think the material used inside the bathroom door can probably handle a serious adhesive.
My mistake was to line up the top of the mirror with the top of the door, so the top 1/4 inch of the mirror is abraded from rubbing against the door frame. Should have dropped it down an inch.

Thanks, much appreciated. I'll get the sticky tape out tomorrow and be done with the falling mirror ...
