Options that are not on the list

One of the things I've learned since joining the forum is that ETI does some custom options that are not on the options list. We've already added the digital thermostat for example. I would love some feedback from those of you who have added options that are not listed. Thanks.

I had a different sink and kitchen faucet installed. I had to provide both. The upcharge was the same as if I had installed the ETI stainless.

I plan on asking them about a hub odometer. Loren

I had a flush mount sink/stove combo. Works really great for added counter space when one, or two, of the lids are down.

We ordered the pedal toilet and reversed the position of the sink and the stove. We also ordered the electric jack.

As can be seen by earlier responses, use your imagination as your guide. Not many manufacturers except ETI will even consider any changes to their product.

My back in the morning wishes we had the foot pedal toilet. We turned the two burner stove 90 degrees & gained valuable inches of counter space. I need organizing drawers, added one under wardrobe. Less space in wardrobe, but flashlight, pens, keys, etc where we want them. Visualize what & where you will use anything electrical, electronic charging spots so you can have outlets placed where you need. Then get a supply of Command hooks & strips. :-)

Custom lower kitchen cabinet configuration. We changed the size of the drawers (made the drawers wider) and cupboad door alignment.
We spoke to Reace and asked for a number of other items or changes but he became very good at shaking his head with a smile and saying "no", can't do that.

We had the 5.0 refridge put into our 17B. We would not have used the space above for a microwave anyway and it is still leaves a cabinet space large enough for food storage. I don't know if that size is even available anymore. Glad we have it, it works very well.

Thanks for the feedback all. So far, what has been suggested that is NOT in the options list:

Custom Sink
Custom Faucet
Hub Odometer
Flush Mount Sink/stove combo
Pedal Flush Toilet
Double sink
Battery Monitor Cable
Wall reinforcement
T Valve
Modified Drawer sizes
Various switch relocations

I don't think I've ever seen one of these on such a small hub, but at least one manufacturer says that in this size, the odometer mounts on a bracket that just goes over the wheel studs, so you could mount it yourself and no custom work by ETI is required. Were you thinking of an odometer which would require a special axle order from Dexter?

We had a backup camera wired into our Escape 19. Thank you ETI! We wired it in the car. The camera is on all the time when we are in motion. Just love it.

A no-brainer for $15 is the LED Indicator Switch for Hot Water Heater. Ditto on the pedal flush; $60 & power tongue jack for $295. Also, LED light over storage box(not standard) and a switch for it & driver's side LED, which without would have to walk around to switch it on/off. Pre-wired for stereo-$50. Not sure if we'll use it as many portables are getting so good with Bluetooth speaker options.

Also, you can split the thermal package. $500 gets the extra insulation only.

Wide angle flood lights on the rear number for backing up in the dark
1500 watt inverter to run the microwave etc. ( too small)
All electrical plugs split between shore power and inverter power
Venting in all seat benches
All interior walls reinforced full length
Custom Fabric seating and valances. - added black piping to all the edges
A dozen extra LED lights inside and out
Added another drawer under wardrobe
A few others I can't recall

Any every ETI option offered save one or two.

All exterior lights to LED, one switch by the door that turns three on... another switch for just the "porch" light.

I also asked to have the entire loft (5er) carpeted instead of just around the perimeter of the queen bed (I sleep on a twin mattress).

Three walls reinforce. Both dinette walls and the drivers side loft wall. I didn't know in advance WHERE I may want to mount a television or magazing rack or spice rack in the kitchen..

Don, you are saying that the 1500 w inverter is not enough for the microwave?

Are the EZ Lube axels an option that is not on the build list? Also, RooBarb, what type of backup camera did you install and it's approx. cost?

I haven't done a lot of research on it yet but I see on line the odometer that you refer to. About $115.00 and is supposed to be accurate. Whenever possible I try to get factory installed options. Loren
