Not sure but it works on the fire ants and some kind of black ant we have here in LA (Lower Alabama)
As a matter of fact, since I've been using it I haven't noticed any bugs on my porch or in my house...Hmmmm

and before I forget, Diatomaceous earth (not the stuff you use for pools) is great for killing fleas again non toxic
