There is one reason to build a factory in Texas.

For eastern US delivery, the price has gone up $1000!

I guess it's not surprising, given current inflation and labor issues, but a hard pill to swallow nonetheless. Unlike money going into the trailer itself, delivery costs feel like money that's just being thrown away.
Not sure how things get reported from Canadian media, but I’ve noticed the Canadian truckers are not real happy.

I’d be willing to bet the delivery cost will be rising even more….

I dug out my notes from picking up my 21 in 2015. I had the orientation at Chilliwack in the morning on May 14 and hooked onto the trailer at Sumas in late morning. I took Route 20 to USFS Loup Loup campground west of Twisp--a little over 200 miles for the day. The scenery was spectacular. The road was fine but had not been open very long as they were still clearing snow from the parking areas. Spent quite a bit of time the next day looking over the trailer and only went about 130 miles to Kettle Falls campground. The next day I continued to follow Route 20 into Idaho. I like poking along on rural roads.

Hmmm, I think you're right. For some reason, I was thinking $3299 as the previous delivery cost, but looking at an old copy of the website, it looks like it was $2799:

Sort of interesting distribution of the increase, seems to suggest some big element of the cost change is independent of distance, but whatever it is what it is.

Sanford , Fl was $3299 (or $3399) before the latest increase. The $2999 price was prior to the announced price increase for 2022. The $3399 was only in effect for a short time, a month or so

Guess i have to spell it out for you. Explain the joke.
Waist -the part of the human body below the ribs and above the hips.
Waste -a large area of barren, typically uninhabited land
