power vent in bathroom on youtube
i watched tammy giving a instructional video on youtube. in the video she appears to turn off a power vent in the bathroom. If that is the case why would you need a openning window for ventilation. The vent isn't listed as a feature or option. Is this something that was available at one time? thank, pete

The powered bath vent is only available on the 5.0 & 21'. Others come with a crank open vent. If you listen closely on the video Tammy does say on the 5.0 has a powered vent. The video was done before 21' came out.

For every exhaust you need an intake, besides the window adds light to an otherwise dark room.

In january we make our decision on the 19 or 21. If we go with the 21 i'll put the vent in and the window but i haven't seen a cost on the vent yet.

The exhaust vent is standard in the 21' ….no cost.

Absolutely be sure to check out standard features for any model you are considering! You may think you need to "add" something and it's already provided... which means you can spend more $$ elsewhere... like a different Formica or upholstery or inverter, etc., etc., etc.

formica reminds me of another queation. escape told us that changing from formica 58 is an upgrade. it looks to me like 58 is a group of colors. we picked up some samples at our local counter shop and there are several different prefix numbers followed by -58. is that so? pete

Unless there is another video, I shot that video in 2009 or 10. There have been a lot of changes since then, but it's still a good resource.

The -58 in the product code means matte finish.
There are other finishes like honed, etchings & radiance available for some patterns that cost more.
