Word from Escape?

A month or so Karl indicated they would be sending out some move up dates sometime in late May or June. Has anyone received the lucky notice recently?

I got a notice asking if we would want a 'move-up' date or not. I fortunately did not have to respond, as we had just acquired our 'pre-owned' Escape, so I was able to cancel our order.

No word yet about moving up but I was just contacted to complete my build sheet. Our current completion date is 10-22 so maybe they are a couple of weeks sooner?

Nothing official at this time though.

We received the same notice and responded with a 'yes', but no word since. I expect that only those who fit their criteria will get a follow up, which is why I was wondering if anyone has received a new date.

In mid-April i sent an email to Escape letting them know we'd be interested in an earlier date since we put our deposit in about a month after their last mass query of the waiting list. At the time they said they were working on new dates and hoped to send out an update in a few weeks. Other than confirming they know we are interested in an earlier date, haven't heard anything else, yet.

Just received email from Karl: We are queue # 271. They completed 44 trailers in May. That works out to an estimate of 6.1 months, maybe in Dec?

They say we may receive a number of emails over the ensuing months, so I expect things will change. Anyone who has gone through it have any insight on how it works? Complete build sheet maybe 2 months before projected date?

For what it's worth our trailer entered production just shy of 3 months after signing off on our build sheet and about 4 weeks prior to the projected completion date.
This photo is from today and about 10 business days after entering production.

For perspective, yesterday's photos there were no windows installed, the fridge wasn't in, outside shower on passenger side not done and vent for range hood not there. In today's photos I can also see a bunch of the electrical work under the dinette seat coming together.

I'm sure that taking the photos and sending them out is time consuming but it's a nice touch and sure helps build excitement!

#342 here. Based on 44 trailers built per month, this would move me up from August 2023 to late Jan. or early Feb. 2023. I want to pick mine up, so I think I'd have to pay storage for 2-3 months until I can go for it in spring. Not the end of the world, I guess.

you can always turn the last "move up" down if it fits with your schedule better. And you also get a free month of storage after completion

#397. Estimate that should move us from Oct 2023 to sometime in March 2023. If that turns out to be accurate, will plan on buying a couple months storage as we'd like to either pickup in Sumas or someplace out west to make a trip out of it.

Just got an email that I'm#45 in the queue. However, my trailer build was finished a few days ago. i wonder if that means they'll build me a second trailer next month?

That’s interesting - my original date was January, with our revised date moved up to early September. Signed off on build sheet in March.

Email today said we were #122, which seems like it would place our build starting in early September rather than finishing then. But if you are number 45 and your trailer just finished maybe the numbers are off anyway.

It will get built when it gets built, and I’m not too worried about it. I appreciate their attempt to give insight into the queue, but I don’t know what to do with this information! Ha

I actually was hoping to get moved to April or May. I didn't really want to wait until August! When the time comes, I'll ask if they can push back 1-2 months, but if not I'll take what I can get and pay some storage. Yeah, I knew about the free first month.

for those that are talking about having ETI store your unit for a few months, wasn't one of the conditions of getting a move up date that you would pick up as soon as it was completed? I believe I remember that being in the email or announced.

When I talked to them for configuration they said same pickup rules apply - free within a month and then costing $$ thereafter. I think the condition is that you can’t have them expedite your trailer and then have it stored for free until your original date if that winds up being more convenient. They need space free on the lot to make more trailers. But it would be crazy to have to pick it up the second it’s done when they don’t even have a firm date for when that will be.

With the recent price increase it will be interesting to see when and how many places people move up in the queue.

Just got the email from ETI with a moved up date of 12/22/22. The problem is that the spreadsheet they sent is embedded in Excel and does not function. I have Open Office, which usually converts automatically, but the embed appears to prevent this. The spreadsheet they send does not allow me to edit, so it is not useful to choose and price options. Have sent an email to Linda.

Would be interested in hearing from others who also received the email.

Filling out build sheet now.

Curious, has anyone had their date moved up after submitting build sheet?

Yes, after completing 5 build sheets, the only constant is change. But sometimes change is good. This last time we timed pickup in Chilliwack with the Rally in Osoyoos, so there was no room for change. But in the past, I have gotten my Escapes earlier than planned. Never been late, but always earlier.
