Looks like you folks north of the US/Canadian border will have a very nice aurora tonight!

Would be great to witness an aurora and a total solar eclipse on the same trip, if anyone is so lucky. I'm too far south now.

Even if it could be viewed from the Vancouver area it wouldn't be visible. You can look to where the sun should be and not even have a hint of where it is because of the forest fire smoke.

Would have been nice to see though.

I had to replace mine on our 014 -5TA
Here is the replacement, you can do it yourself easily, but need a star shaped bit.
The part number is there.

Sorry- not sure how to flip the photo but the part number is there.
Debbie takes pictures that way too. She insists on standing on her head or shooting backwards between her legs.....

Ditto, from here where we are at West Yellowstone. We also got a fair dusting of ash last night. We'll see what mid-central Montana has in store next. Our friends report that they can see Big Sky there.
