Beautiful Chilliwack

As we dodged the storms coming out here, I realized some others were not as fortunate. I know Telescopist was hit with snow and ice in North Dakota about 12 hours after we left there. They were a day behind us on the same route out. After leaving Bismarck on Friday morning 6 am we planned on stopping in Missoula. We arrived around 3pm but could not get a room. So we drove on with the storms behind us but encountered incessant rain. I punched in the destination Chilliwack from Missoula and it was 9 hours, meaning sometime around 3 am. Unsure about border hours we stopped north of Seattle around mid nite at a Walmart. We took a snooze and awoke at 6 am to a bright and wonderful day, the rain had stopped, sun was out and we were close. We arrived here in Chilliwack around 8 am Saturday . Escape opened at 10 am and I took some Hershey chocolate I brought with me and Linda greeted me with, "I know you, you are the chocolate man, cpaharley". She and Dave were working Saturday and the office is closed today- Victoria Day. Tomorrow we pick up DeJa View in morning and head over to Osoyoos at lunch.
Staying at the Best Western hotel, next door to Escape is a treat, they are pet friendly and the waffles are the best we have ever had. In addition the whole area is just so beautiful and picturesque...I highly recommend coming here for pickup.

You should take the time to drive to the Othelo Tunnels in Hope, Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park. It is about a 45 minute drive from ETI. It is beautiful and dog friendly.

Thanks for the tip, we will be going that way towards Osoyoos. Interestingly, some Rambo movie scenes were filmed there.

We agree, the Best Western is a great place to stay. It's only a three-minute walk from ETI. How convenient is that! After pick up we drove to Hope for three days of camping, thinking if we found anything amiss with our new 19 it wasn't too far back to Chilliwack for any repairs. That didn't happen though. All was good.

Always meant to ask if you are a CPA, being a former CPA myself. Assumed that from your handle, and also you seem to be pretty good at math....at least, we know you can count to four

If you're killing time in Chilliwack, make sure to have breakfast or lunch at Cookies Grill.

I'm not booked. I'd have to wash the trailer.

Thanks for the offer, but celebrating Leslie's 72, and not at a potluck.

I second Cookies Grill. The California Benedict is my favorite. And for Dinner head downtown to Bravo Restaurant and Lounge. I've eaten there twice now and was very pleased both times. 46224 Yale Rd. The locals say it is "Pricey but worth it!" Compared to Seattle prices we thought it was quite reasonable. And the food / service were excellent!

So how did you do that!?! In the first photo the Poutine is half gone but the beer is full. In the second photo the Poutine is full but the beer is half empty!

Undercover, hmmmm, they usually use quiet little guys like me for that kind of assignment.
On the Poutine photos I just assumed you had two orders and three beers.
