"pull"

Hi Alf
Hope you get off with a bang and that its not a flat tire, I know it's a BLANKET statement from us all that you stay warm and dry and don't tarry too long at the Cracker Barrel each morning but keep on trucking with that big Ram and a supply of Yeungling in case she overheats in the Smokies. Summer is just around about a boxful of corners. See you in Niagara if not before,
Iowa Dave

Here is a picture of the new handles installed. Nice quality aluminum. No longer worried about them breaking.

Well I thought you were a pretty good boy Jim

I got Beth a stainless steel french press. Our old glass one has broken years ago and we were using a pour over method. But I hope we can now grind coffee just enough at the time we press it just like you Jim. Now just need a hand grinder but for now if boondocking can plug the electric grinder into the truck. Also gave her three LED lights for inside cupboards.

Happy New Year all.

For Christmas, we got our 21 a:
Hopkins 08200 Endurance Leveling System With Wheel Chocks.

Hopkins Towing Solutions Hopkins 08200 Endurance RV Leveling System with Wheel Chock https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M9993M9..._OrQlCbSFVNSTQ

In September we spent almost four weeks touring Yellowstone, Glacier, and Grand Tetons NPs. Several of our campsites were way unlevel and required 3-4 levels of LEGO Blocks under one side. When assembled, the LEGO Blocks do not line up correctly with dual axles, and require considerable jockeying back and forth to get to the proper height.
When we got home, I looked for an alternative and found these. The parts do not include the lumber. In the case of a dual axle 21 the 2X8” boards are 60”, 54”, and 48” inches long. I used finished fir and the total weight of the three boards is 30 lbs. If one used cedar or redwood, the weight would be considerably less.
I used them today to do my annual fresh water system sanitation and hot water heater flush. The Hopkins worked great. They are simple to use and easily fit in the back of our Explorer.

When only 1 1/2” of lift is needed, use just one layer:

Layer #1 always goes directly under the tires. Layer #2 goes directly under layer #1, and layer #3 goes under layer #2. They nest together for a tight package. Here is a picture from behind 4 1/2” of lift:

I guess it's a New Years present for our Escape---getting the spray foam installed under our trailer...

Our Escape 5.0 TA was our Christmas present! Delivered December 5th. Named Rocinante after John Steinbeck's camper in "Travels With Charlie". We just got it registered and paid the taxes yesterday. We are excited to be done paying and start playing!

Also the name of Don Quixote's horse in the book. That's a cool name.

Thanks, it's been years since I read Travels with Charlie but I knew that he named his truck camper after Don Quixote's horse Rocinante. Which makes us like it even more! My folks lived in Salinas for a number of years and I have been to the Steinbeck museum where his truck camper is on display. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_S...lieVehicle.jpg
Cool old GMC The man who saved John Steinbeck's van - The Camper Book

I need to reread Don Quixote and Travels with Charlie now.
