Daily high temperatures in the summer along the Gulf Coast are typically in the mid-90s. This work week has been a bit warmer so far, with highs of 98, 98, and 99 (yesterday). A contractor is removing a building and modifying another one on my property now. The heat doesn't seem to faze him. To me he's Superman.

The climate is why I bought my trailer, so I could go north in the summer. This summer I had to stick around home due to this project and others, but next year I hope to be in a cooler, dryer place in July.

She's a little on the warm side here too. We've had quite a bit of rain some evapotranspiration is pretty significant here in the cornfield. I shoveled off a load of black dirt in the morning yesterday and would advise you to invest in Gatorade and Beer stocks cause I'm hitting them pretty hard.

When you buy stock in beer and then drink beer, it's like you're drinking for free. Kinda like your solar panel let's you use free electricity......

I used to think the same when I owned some Harley Davidson stock and when I bought accessories for my bike I felt like I was taking money out of one pants pocket and putting it into the other one. You know what HD stands for? Hundred dollar, because everything on the bike was at least a hundred dollars.

Temperatures fine here. Not so the price on beer. Another tax hike coming. Time to go sober or move....

As long as you do not stay sober you really do not care about the price......

I thought HD stood for Hardly Dangerous. That's what I told my mom. There's a .05 deposit on pop and beer cans here. My greatest one time find was at
a remote piece of park ground where I found 144 cans and a leftover hunk of government cheese down by the river. The van was gone.

I overnighted one summer day 10 feet from a big midwestern cornfield. Didn't dare go out of the trailer without great fear of attack from about a trillion plus mosquitos.

Hi: MyronL... Here on the north shore you would be attacked by our infamous "Sap beetles" aka "Beer bugs". They don't bite but they sure drink a lot!!! Alf

In Palm Desert for next 6 days. We have a time share and grandkids require a summer visit. 118* yesterday upon arrival. Forecast for another hot one today. Lot's of pool time today. Iowa Dave should get rich on his beer stock and Alf's beer bugs should be diverted.......

Camped in Kansas last night. Still 91 degrees at midnight. Headed for eastern CO tonight and then Durango on Sunday. Jake looked at me and seemed to say Dave, I don't think we're in Iowa anymore.

You guys in the heat stay safe and hydrated. It's miserable when it doesn't even cool down at night ....

It was 106 in Hays KS this afternoon. Tonight about 85 with low humidity in SE Colorado, Very comfortable. I can hear thunder and the sky is pretty dark so it's
Due to cool off shortly. We are at John Martin Reservoir. Campground is nice. There's a feedlot a few miles away with about 10,000 cows. Jakes nose is quivering pretty good, I hope he doesn't put a rod through the side of the block.
