After seeing up the trailer in a tight spot at a music festival last weekend, I jostled to manoeuvre my truck out. I was watching close in the mirror and was a couple inches clear with my bumper, but could not see the lift in the mirror.
The damage to the trailer will buff out, and the dying to the truck minor, and easy to fix.

While I would send condolences your way, I'm sure there's no need. You're probably smiling with your "don't sweat the small stuff" personality. I will say I have come to appreciate the long bed I have on my Titan. I don't think (but don't want to try) that it could swivel that far.
Oh heck! Still gotta say it. I'm sorry that happened! It may not make you feel any better, but it does me!!

Don't feel too bad Jim I dinged both truck and trailer the first day I brought it home.

Window intact for the win!
Remind us, you have the shorty bed or the 6.5'(w/e) bed length?

Yeah, no sense sweating it. It is what it is.
To be clear, I was disconnected from the trailer when I did this. The contact on the trailer was front left loft right near the bottom, and on the truck rear right of cab top corner.

Now you're just being rude! How am I supposed to be smart enough to look at the pictures and draw the very obvious conclusion that the damage was on opposite sides of what it would be if it were hitched up? You'd have to assume that I possess rational and logical capabilities...and that's a stretch to put it mildly.

Ouch! I would bet that this will never happen to you a second time.
Maybe you could just call it "bug damage" and chock it up to the large insects that are out and about at this time of year.

Easy to do with the trailer. Not so easy with the truck.

If it was a Manitoba mosquito, could easily do that much damage to your truck.

Just do a similar one on the drivers side next campout and folks will think the truck was designed that way.
Sorry, to see you had that mishap, but as pilots say "if you walk away it was a good landing."

Maybe it was flying by, was dazzled, flew off course, and smack! One dead Manitoba skeeter and one dented F150. That'd be Skeeters -1, F150 1+.
Heck I have two of these on my F150 as momentos of my Bigfoot daze.

Rear-ended (or "rear -cabbed") by a big Canada skeeter coming up on you fast from behind! I think most any Calgary insurance agent would sympathize with you on that one.

Maybe Jim can file a claim as damage from an uninsured moskeeterist.

There are mosquitoes in Calgary? Any time I've been to Calgary, Banff, Red Deer etc ive been happy how few skeeters there are compared to Winnipeg and surrounding swamp, the Whiteshell area, etc. I have the magic blood insects crave.
Let us know how the repair goes on the aluminium F150. 4-5 years down the road Ill be needing a new truck and barring some poor changes from Ford was looking at another F150.
