Happy Thanksgiving

I'm surprised not to see a thread already started. A Happy Thanksgiving to all American Escape owners and our friends throughout the country.

We are celebrating in Kansas with our family and their friends, 18 all together. Heading out shortly for ham, turkey, pumpkin pie and even an ice cream cake for our granddaughter's eight birthday today.

I'm thankful to have just celebrated another Thanksgiving with my 95 years young Mom - we enjoyed turkey with all the fixin's and of course the National Dog Show on the tube.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, too, all on this forum certainly have much for which to be thankful.

It's all done now except washing the dishes. The turkey wasn't the only thing that got stuffed today. Oh my.

The Bears won and the Raiders are ahead. It's been a glorious day! Blessings to all.

Yep, the Detroit Turkeys snatched yet another defeat out of the jaws of victory. Oh well, happy Thanksgiving to all.

Saw the German Shorthair pointer win the sporting breed category. I had a nice one at one time. Have always liked them. A little stubborn but he never lied to me. The French Brittany we have now is a nice dog but the big 70 lb Shorthair was a bulldozer in big brush and deep snow.

The sales have started, really irritating to see items you have ordered, still undelivered, and now on sale! Seems to me they should automatically allow the reduced price....rant over!

I do not enjoy buying things on line. I would rather go to the “store” and get them in person. Unfortunately, in my opinion, things have changed a lot in the past few years and this is not always possible. As a consumer, I’ve become a minor player in the past few years. I don’t need much and usually don’t buy much until I’m ready to use it. I do have a fair amount of stocked up hardware, lumber, grease and oil, bottled water, food and whiskey, you know, the essentials. I haven’t bought anything on Black Friday for many years, don’t like crowds. This morning I’m watching dogs and grand children. Have a great holiday season Jim and Noelia.

Last year Thanksgiving was outside at a campground. This year, was supposed to be inside a friend's home- then the power went off before the turkey could cook. So it was postponed until today. But still inside, and with people from 35-97, all vaccinated and boosted. I'm very thankful for that! (And for the lack of wind today and for the power coming back on yesterday unlike last week.)

Not doing much with sales but I will look at a few things.

Not many things better than a turkey sandwich with mayo. Had two this morning already.

I don't get excited about turkey. Pass me the potatoes and gravy, the homemade baked beans, the green bean casserole, the sweet potatoes, and the pie, please.
Oh, and a couple or three of those crescent rolls hot out of the oven, with plenty of butter.

Me either. I can eat turkey anytime, it's no longer special. It's ALL the sides... swoon! Dressing, cranberries, mashed potatoes and on and on. Foods I only eat at Thanksgiving or Christmas. Now THAT is special
