Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas, and hope it brings you some great cheer. [emoji319][emoji4]

It will be my first Christmas ever without a huge family group, but I'm not going to let that bring me down. I already have big plans for next Christmas. [emoji4]

As most of you know, our house is under major renovation with none of the living space available for use. We do have bedroom two and three finished, one bedroom setup for sleeping, and the other one our entertainment room. Our kitchen is in our garage. When out tree harvesting at our land, my brother and sister-in-law picked us up a three foot tall tree. Not the size of the used to oh, but we are enjoying it very much, and we can fit it in.

Best tree ever

Here beside the St Lawrence River we are expecting 2” of rain and a high of about 45 tomorrow. No white Christmas for us but we are snug and warm.

This old artificial tree sheds every year but we love it and the decades-old ornaments.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy-as-possible holiday and better things in 2021.

It's been a hard year. We put up our tree because it reminds us there is still joy in this world. Always looking for the silver lining... And we're having rum cake for dessert tonight, too!

And after all this is over and done with I am planning a break-out trip that just might last a couple months. Had a dream last night of fresh lobster outside on a picnic bench covered with brown paper at a roadside stand somewhere along the coast of Maine. Lordy!

While I'm sure there are other campgrounds on the coast that do it, at Lamoine State Park (near Arcadia NP) you can order live lobsters or a fully cooked dinner delivered to your site:

The grocery store in Bar Harbor will cook it for you. In '18 I think a lobster went for 7-10$ depending on weight. Almost worth the 3000 mile drive.

When I was a kid, about any day could be Boxing Day. My dad bought two pairs of gloves and if a quarrel broke out with my brothers, they would strap on the gloves and go at it. Since I was oldest, boxing them would not have been fair. So it was me and “the old man” “going a couple short rounds” as he described it. Probably incorrect parenting now due to gubermint
regulations. But I didn’t have to learn to defend myself in school.
Happy New Year

That’s pretty good. I was outside getting fresh air for about 2 hour this morning. Cleared our new 9 inch snowfall and put down ice melt on the drive. Glad I got it done, did get in a little skating practice coming down the driveway with the New Holland. But it was “Big Chair” time after that.
Happy New Year.
