Help me decide.....

Amazon keeps throwing me "join Prime" with special offers. Two day shipping is nice as well as discounts. What do other forum members think about amazon Prime and is it worth the $150/year?

We use it all the time since we order a lot from Amazon. It’s basically free with what we save on shipping cost

CPAHarley: I'm not sure if 2-day Amazon shipping exists anymore. As a Prime member, when I order from Amazon some items seem to arrive the same day. Some multiple days (sometimes a week or longer) later. Amazon tells me when to expect delivery, but there's no 2-day standard.

On the other hand, I believe the other benefits of Prime are worth it. Having emotionally fought using Amazon a lot, since the Pandemic, I've caved in and now probably purchase something from Amazon every other week. If I don't need something soon, it's just easiest to order it on Amazon. Assuming I get 26 Amazon shipments a year, Prime pays for itself in saved shipping costs. And gas from 10 mile trips not made into town.

Prime also give you access to some old movies (I love Audrey Hepburn movies), Thurs nite NFL football - I feel the Al Michael / Chris Collinsworth combo was better last year - and a bunch of other benefits I don't use.

So... Is Prime worth it... I understand about half of USA households feel it is.

I don’t pay for shipping or Prime. I am patient and stuff comes in 2-4 days anyway.

The one prime benefit everyone forgets about is unlimited full resolution cloud photo backup. Who knows how long it will stay included but it is nice for peace of mind in the event of a computer crash or house fire!
