There used to be an Airstream trailer in Texas in the 1980s named 'past tents'. I think its inevitable that multiple people will develop an original idea over time. I used to race a Hobie 16 in Texas named 'Texas Crewed' in the 1970s. I've seen that same name on several other boats and even a BBQ restaurant since then. It happens.

I wonder why some beer lover hasn't yet named his Escape "Der Biergarten"? Just an idea.

If and when I finally can afford my Escape, I might have to call it "past (feeling) tense."

I know a very hard working restaurant owner who sold two pizza businesses near me. Met him recently and he asked how I was. Lamely I started out with the ..... and he said " Ross- don't complain". I asked Ayman where he had been as I hadn't seen him for some time. His response: Syria.

Robert,
We had never heard of, nor seen, the name "Past tents" until you mentioned it on the forum, along with the bit of history accompanying it, that corresponded closely with our camping history. So, we will always associate the name with your selection of it.
Thank you.

Many people come up with what they consider to be a clever or original name, when it has been previously used by someone else. In the case of Peter, for example, I know of a Scamp 13 owner who named his trailer (more than a decade old) Eggy Sue. While he has a Ranger as a tow vehicle, he previously had one of the earlier Rangers, red in color, which he named Robert RedFORD.” With millions of trailer owners, it is probable that someone else has chosen the same “original” name as you.

After catching up with the Strawbridges over quarantine we went with “THE CHÂTOW” so that we can now “Escape to the Chatow” without flying to France.

Hi Alf
How long has it been since you camped in a tent? For us it was 2013. Although I did go to a rondy by myself in 2014 or 15 after we got the Escape and used the Eureka one night. The young guys camped next to me were betting on whether or not I could stand up in the morning. Took about 10 minutes but I made it.

Hi Dave,
The last time I slept in a tent was when I parted from the Army. I would guess 1984!
I don’t know when Alf last camped in a tent, but when he did, I have been informed he wasn’t late for dinner!
