Yesterday's snowfall, -28 deg temperatures this morning, and sunny clear blue skies today makes for perfect Christmas conditions. Have a great day everyone.

Merry Christmas to all from coastal Southern California.

Lo and behold, the north side of our roof was actually white this morning. And, of course, in the background is our lush, green 37 ft. avocado tree.

Merry Christmas & Happy Chanukah to all from Quartzsite. While I would prefer the white Christmas that happens in my hometown of Oswego, NY, (at least for one day) the sunshine here isn't all that bad!

You must be one of the only ones actually out there camping now. How's the weather, Steve?

Hey, SteveO, the new place is a couple miles east of Buelltin, cruise by if you're heading back on 101!

This is pretty good!

We got here on Friday the 23rd and will leave to return home to Escondido next Friday. It was raining when we set up camp by has been pretty dry since then. The high daily temps have been in the low to mid 60s. We stay really dry by overeating and drinking heavily! No poutine in the area but we barbecued a great TriTip steak with barbecued toast, cheese and champagne for breakfast yesterday. This morning we had barbecued Linguica, eggs, barbecued toast and of course, champagne again. We've been wine tasting and exploring the area. Haven't been cold yet. There is a good possibility we will be in Quartzite for the gathering...

That sounds tough, Steve. You want maybe I should step up and do this for you? Pretty hard to be cold in warm temps like that.

Happy Boxing Bay to all fellow Canucks (and the British). I know we'll be heading home the end of this week to clean off "Escape Hatch" which no doubt is buried under much snow at home. We were expecting up to 40 cm in blizzard conditions, all major highways in MB are closed today. We just caught some of the Colorado low here in Thunder Bay, and got only a few inches of snow. This morning it was raining and plus 3C out. A least it was a white Christmas here.

Season's greetings to all on the forum and best wishes for 2017. Hope to see many of you at rallies.

Adrian and Beth

Wonder what people are doing besides seeing family.

We are working on a puzzle of the fantastic Nanaboujou Lodge in northern Minnesota. There is a state park campground across the road and a town campground at wonderful Grand Marais, 15 miles south. The border is a similar distance north with a campground at Grand Portage, a reservation. One can sit at the lodge in an Adirondack chair on stunning Lake Superior after eating fabulous food in the incredible dining room. The ceiling is covered with Cree Indian paintings.

We are not puzzlers! Any tips appreciated.

Happy gatherings to you all for Hanukkah, Christmas, Boxing Day, Kwanzaa and other festivities.

Out hunting today - Boxing Day hunt- much fun galloping through the woods no foxes were hurt but our hounds did chase some game. Mostly they follow the scent of a fox laid by a long distant runner who loves serving as our Fox.

Naniboujou. I spelled it wrong. Can't miss it if you are up there a couple of hours past Duluth, a great city to visit, too. Plenty of campgrounds going up the shoreline of Superior.

Wonderful place for a meal or a stay. The Native American inspired artwork in the dinning room is well worth a visit. The place has an interesting history too.
