New trend

Six Escapes were listed today for sale, a record in my memory. Wonder how come so many? Thoughts....?

Coincidence? I know, far fetched. [emoji23]

All different models. Coincidence. It's the time of year and some people are figuring out they want bigger or aren't using it enough and think it is a good time to sell.

For Sale

Hi Jim
Escapes sell, and there's a lot of great camping to be done yet this year. I'm impressed with the choice of models, range of ages and the opportunity to get a nice trailer without a long wait.

I am not believing any of this until CPA Jim places his order for a 25 footer with triple slide outs .

I don't want slide outs. I just keep hoping ETI will buy a Bigfoot Silver Cloud and make an ETI model with a LIVING ROOM and recliners!

Might just be a lot more of these on the road meaning more go up for sale. I don't know how many ETI is churning our these days but I imagine a good number of first timers find they want more room to stay put in one area, like most snowbirds do. Spend a year or so seeing the parts of the countries you want to see, then sell and get a more long term setup. That's always been our plan, we just haven't finished looking around yet.

Looking at any one day, or even a week, is not a good evaluation of any trend. Monthly, quarterly, or yearly would offer more accurate results.

I want my recliner outside. Heck, I almost never use one at home. Maybe a cozier sitting chair though.

I would bet this is a huge factor. There are many times more Escapes on the road now than 5 years ago, one can expect the resale market to reflect this.

.
EXACTLY Jim, love our gravity chairs reclining under the awning or in the shade of trees. Isn't that what camping is all about, rather than people setting up their behemoth units then disappearing inside.

I was getting excited on first read, I thought you developed a way of placing the chair in shade trees!

Sitting outside is always preferable to being inside IMHO. BUT weather and bugs sometimes makes that impossible. The one thing sadly lacking in all the molded towables is a comfortable place to sit inside. I have a u-shape dinette and I 'lounge,' but sitting in a comfortable chair would sometimes be grand! I've even used a lawn chair inside in the aisle way just to be able to sit and read a book. I didn't want to lay in bed, didn't want to 'lounge,' just wanted to sit and read. Often that's in the very early hours before the sun comes up or late at night. And yeah, I know about pillows and back support do-dads, but it's just not the same.

That's easy, the Universe is thumbing its nose at me. I get sufficient funds saved to go 50/50 cash/financing and the perfect flipped floorplan 19 comes up and what happens? I have to use a goodly portion of what I had been squirreling away for my Escape to replace a @%$^%*# broken hot water heater and get a cleanup crew to deal with the flooding (my shop vac wasn't cutting it).
