Price gouging and aha moment...

With supply and demand out of whack recently, Amazon and locals have been subject to price gouging. I checked today for a thermometer, it's still there, high prices or 30-45 day delivery times. Then an "aha" moment, went out to the Escape and got my wheel bearing temperature checker, pressed against my forehead, 91.5 degrees (f). I'll use that if I feel a fever coming on, another excuse for multipurpose tools in your Escape.........

Jim, I sure hope that was either a typo, a joke, or an inaccurate reading....if your temperature is 91.5 you're in big trouble!

Sounds like rigor mortis is setting in.

I always thought 98.6 was the norm and 99 or more meant a fever? This was taken pointing at my forehead, not my actual temperature inside my body...

I have a suggestion for where you could get a more accurate reading.

I know, where the sun don't shine, but I'm just trying to establish a benchmark, what is your forehead temp?

I can't get an accurate forehead temp. Too dependent on room temp. But armpit works! Supposedly normal is 99 but I suspect that varies some. Probably doesn't work too well for those who are very hirsutely endowed.

There has been some recent discussion on this and what a time for it. Time to redefine normal body temperature

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines a fever as 100.4 deg F or above. Its webpage said that normal body temperature ranges from 97 - 100. I tend to run a bit cool, about 97.7 when I check it. I presume this is from my strategic lack of exercise.
