Well unfortunately the image was burned indelibly into my brain...like I said elsewhere about your and Dave's mental pictures you painted, I hope beer can erase it!

You could find it in the deleted post. Funny, but not terribly exciting (for me) lol.

Sturgeon

That's a fine looking fish. We stopped at the Bonneville dam years ago to see salmon. My son and I were fascinated by the sturgeon fishermen below the dam. In Iowa, we have sand sturgeon and a three pounder is a nice one. That said they are currently under the microscope because of over harvesting by commercial fishing for their eggs. Caviar, gotta have it you know.

12 lb Rainbow caught on Eutsuk Lake, central BC.

The fishing was good, the scenery was hard to take.

No trailer camping, this lake is a long way from any roads.

With spring upon us I thought I'd resurrect this thread for 2018

Got some trout fishing in yesterday. My son caught his first rainbow unassisted. Great day out with grand pop.

I love eating dead fish, raw or cooked in some fashion. I only keep what we will eat fresh though.

So you can wake up in the morning out there and, before you put the coffee, or your socks, on, you've probably already thrown out the first line of the day.

I am always eager to go fishing in the morning, but even more eager to have a coffee to bring along. Gotta love the big Bubba cups. B)
