Jim is that a cherry, flowering crab or something else? It looks like you're about 10 days ahead of us.

The ice went off our lake on March 22 then froze back over 2 days later. Highs this coming weekend are supposed to be below freezing. Jim ,your pictures give me something to look forward to.
You are about 6 weeks ahead of us so I hope you enjoy the nice Spring weather.

Spring? Hmm. Minus 5C this weekend in Guelph ON. Looks like I'm going to have to hunker down. I'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather. Bring on the heat.

If the highs stayed in the 60's or 70's all summer I would be one happy camper. I admire anyone who can tolerate temps in the 80's
By the end of summer I will be praying for snow.

Sun came out and temperature is bearable, so I tackled the trailer and green algae. Managed to do the roof and two sides before chill set in.
I know some think the green stuff is a crisis requiring nuclear weapons, but Simonize Wash 'n' Wax seems quite capable of dealing with it.

Is that some kind of pre-soak you did in the first photo? Looks great!

I love the spring clean and trailer pictures.
Spring has certainly sprung here on the wet coast.
I cleaned the trailer a week or so ago so this afternoon it was off to The White Rock Stroll for fish and chips on the patio at Moby Dicks.
Tomorrow we head to Derby Reach for a few days. So far retirement feels fine (even if Liz doesn't know how to take my pictures for uploading correctly. I'm slowly learning - I took the last three).

No pre-soak. That's just the result of liquid flowing downhill because I've got the trailer lower at the front.
I used a soft car wash brush and a turk's head from my boating days. I've still got to deal with the tree sap. Will have a go with Turtle Bug 'n' Sap and a plastic putty knife.

Very hot water used with gloves of course really helps. Then using the black label Goof Off is a breeze.

When you run out, try rubbing alcohol, I was pleasantly surprised.

I agree, Robert. More than half of my life in New Hampshire was enough for me. My (and I repeat "MY") mantra is "Heat is uncomfortable, cold is painful."

My sentiments exactly. Many say as they age that cold is harder to take, for me it seems to opposite. The older I get the less I seem to be able to tolerate high heat and humidity. And I have closets full of nice warm clothes....

I never realized that was anyone's quote, but I have said the same thing many times, and truly believe it.

I am the same. I have WAY more energy in cooler temps, than in warmer ones. If I am working outside, or doing sports like mountain biking, I much prefer the cooler end of the spectrum, but If I have a cocktail in hand, and am hanging around a beach, only then can I enjoy temps in the high 20's C (80's F).
Easter weekend was a prime example. 3 nights in a row temps fell to around -5°C (23°F), and we were up 'til 2am partying away by a blazing campfire. During the day it got fro 5-10°C (41-50°F), and we had great fun outside, playing bocce, putzing away, and even ate our Easter dinner outside.
Not to say I do not enjoy warmth. Days around 20-24°C (68-75° F) are comfortable to me.
Thus the need to get A/C in my new build, as we hope to explore into that sorching, parched southern part of the continent too.

Like Jim Bennett, this is my response as well.

Just like the difference between the coldest winter day and the hottest summer day in central Alberta.
