Ok I'm not a big tea drinker what's the difference between brewing tea and steeping tea?

Well for us ...brewing is like the guys Wolf had tea in that camp ...tea and hot water in a tea kettle - simmered until it is strong enough to grow hair on your chest ......Steeping for us - is loose tea or bags in a china pot , allowed to " steep x number of minutes ( depending on amount .......either remove bags or pour into cups with a strainer ..... refreshing not bitter .

"Brewing" is making tea; "steeping" is the soaking of tea leaves in hot water, which is how you (normally) brew tea. So there's no difference.

Tim Hortons made a big deal about their "steeped tea" a few years ago, which I thought was hilarious... because there's no way to make tea other than steeping tea leaves.
