An original Thanksgiving song to sing around the table:

TURKEY IN THE BRINE

There's a lot of preparations
In the kitchen at this time
There's stuffin' in the oven
And there's a turkey in the brine
There's a fire in the woodstove
And gravy in the pan
And what was Ellie thinking
When she cooked those berries cran?
The table's set with crystal
At each place a glass of wine
But it wouldn't be Thanksgiving
Without a turkey in the brine

We passed around the white meat
And we passed around the tan
We ate until we couldn't breathe
At least that was the plan
Then we raised a glass to providence
For having such a time
So we drank a glass of wiskey
To the turkey in the brine.

Chorus

Oh I did the herky jerky
With that little gal of mine
And we rolled around the cabin
Like two turkeys in the brine
Turkeys in the brine
Turkeys in the brine
We rolled around the cabin
Like two turkeys in the brine

This is a article in the Seattle Times about some Brit businesses and Thanksgiving.

Everyone have a great turkey day/Thanksgiving, US or Canada. For the Canadians, a good excuse for a huge turkey dinner!

I just finished over an hour doing the dishes after a full blown homemade turkey dinner. There is an advantage of Thanksgiving in a trailer - not so many dishes, but I have to admit, having all the fixings is fun!

Did anybody notice that the 2014 Escape calendar has Thanksgiving listed as Friday the 28th? I guess we'll just have to eat turkey with all the fixin's again tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving
I did and it worked out perfect for me. Due to my daughter & grandsons traveling yesterday, we will be celebrating Escape Thanksgiving today! Air fare is less on "Thanksgiving Day" and it's a pleasant day to travel. I own an Escape and am proud to be different!
