Hurricane Delta is predicted to hit the mid-Gulf Coast before the end of the week. So as with Hurricane Sally three weeks ago, I am preparing to use my trailer to store food and water if needed. This morning I sanitized the fresh water tank to fill it later and turned on the propane to cool down the fridge.
My power went off for 30 hours in the aftermath of Sally so the trailer fridge came in useful, but my water was not contaminated so I didn't need the trailer's water. But Pensacola's water system was contaminated and its residents were under a "boil water" alert for a few days. You never know.

Southern Ontario is so boring, no earthquakes, no hurricanes, no wildfires, no real storms, but it snows sometimes, not as much as I'd like.
Stay safe.
You are on the wrong side of the lake! 150" - 200" is our average winter snow here in Oswego, although it has been a bit less over the last few years. I've been through 2 - 11'+ storms since 1965.

I often wondered if those 2nd floor doors seen in northern homes are ever used.....
