67 when I purchased, also with retirement funds; 70 now. Just hit the 10 year retired mark last week. That's gone by fast!

Lots of fun memories camping with various combinations of my four granddaughters. Headed to the eastern Sierras with my son and the younger two (6 and 7.5) next week.

My Grandson is 42. I don't take him camping. He plays rough and cheats at cards. I only recently learned a deck of cards had only 4 aces in it!

Got a G, G, Grandson/daughter on the way. He/she will make Nine generations of us been on this land. Hoping for a girl. Too many ugly guys around here.

I'm 43 and wife is 37. We have a 4 year old and 1 year old. We are looking at Escape because with little ones we don't have a lot of time to work on an RV. Hoping our 21NE will be our first AND last trailer!

By my calculations, the average based on the previously admitted ages plus mine = 55.
A couple of young owners skewed the number downwards, but clearly the range is dominated by Boomers, with post-Boomers in (not at) our 'wake'.

The average current age based upon the responses so far - counting the age of one owner per camper (the respondent age only) - is actually 65.5 years. The median age is 67 years! My data excluded JStelly but that's not going to change the average much...

We were 67 and 62 when we ordered our 19'. Now 75 and 70 and have traveled over 85,000 miles and camped in 48 states and 6 of the Canadian provinces since we took possession in early January 2014. It's been great!

I'm 43 and my wife is 46. But on most trips in the Escape it's just me and my 10-ish year old mutt...do I need to convert him to dog years for this poll?

How are you liking your 21NE? Do your kids like it? Have enough room? We are really excited to get ours.

That all depends as to whether you are asking about chronological age or emotional age.

We took delivery of our Escape earlier this year. Our ages were 61 and 62.
Like others here, we used retirement funds specifically earmarked for the purchase.
Our long term plan is to enjoy the trailer for 20+ years before passing on to the next generation.

Hi: C&G in FL... I hat8 being average. Just when I got to middle class they cancelled it. Never get a pair of shoes on sale... pants are the first ones gone... rarely find a shirt, But beware our trailer is the perfect size IMHO!!! Age is just a number. Alf

Yes! While everyone thinks ETI is “Factory Direct,” they do seemingly have one dealership East of the Mississippi, in York, PA. While that “franchisee” doesn’t sell factory new models, its “head salesman” does sell the “demos.” Many people can thank Jim for getting them into an Escape, while many others tease him that he gets rid of them when the initial propane fill is running low. He is definitely one of ETI’s top ambassadors! And he is very likable guy, always helpful, for those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him.
