"Life is like a roll of toilet paper.
The closer you get to the end, the faster it rolls."

Enjoy,

A fellow told me once. Time will pass faster if you do 'this'. I asked him " Do I look like I want time to pass faster"?

I think this meme accurately portrays how most of us see ourselves, until we "see" ourselves.

When I was deer hunting at age 22 in 1969, I pushed some deer in front of an old guy who was 74. I saw him get down on one knee and shoot 5 times as the deer ran past him. When I got over to him and started asking questions he told me to look down the hill. He had killed all 5 deer. That changed my opinion of old people and what they could do for the rest of my life. He was a World War One veteran who was born in 1895. Now I’m 74 and still hoping to replicate Cleon’s feat. Maybe next fall. It’s legal if the party has enough tags.

No he did not. The young guys pulled them back to the trucks on snow.. Then to the huntmasters workshop. Once there and warming up, a fifth of whisky magically appeared. The old man, Cleon Teger took the cap off and threw the cap out the door, into the night. It was then I realized that they did not plan on saving any. The Seagrams bottle made one trip around, each man wiping the threads of the bottle with bloodstained hand and grinning before tipping the elixir to his lips. Growing up in Iowa’s non glaciated Driftless Area about 4 miles from New Albin. On a night just about like this.

While employed, we escaped to our cabin as it is only 2 hours from home and easy to do for a weekend or a week...
Our first Escape trailer will be at 57... looking forward to the adventure.

We paid our deposit, completed our build list, and picked up our trailer - all at 61.

With lead times today being well over a year and a half, maybe that makes us old-school.
