What do you think the average age of an escape owner is?

My wife and I are both thinking it's around 50 years of age.

I would bet at least 10 years more. I'm still 63 and feel like a youngster. [emoji16]

Dream on!

My speculation is an average age of 58.63 years. I'm 71, and guessing light. There's mostly older souls with an Escape, and a few younger whippersnappers.

Someone could do the math.....but not me....I need to take a nap.
Wake me up when you have the definitive answer. !YAWN!

Not as young as I used to be, but hope to be older than I am.

And I am older than I once was
And younger than I'll be
But that's not unusual

I'll bet I'm a pretty average buyer. I'll be 63 in a few weeks. We bought our Escape last year with some money we took from a retirement account that we could draw from penalty free since we passed the 59-1/2 year mark. (And since we paid off our mortgage and money borrowed for the daughter's college education.) It's nice to finally get to the debt free years and be able to splurge a bit.

Time for a poll?*

No way to know if the tiny sliver of owners active here are 'representative of the population', but I've had moments of idle curiosity ....

* No, I'm not volunteering

(the calendar says I'm 68)

It might be interesting to know the age when purchased as opposed to present age of owner. I just turned 70, but picked up when I was turning 63. The start of life as a retiree. People at the local “Y” say I give them an example of what to strive for in retirement.

Current owners 73 years 7 months and 6 days.
Current buyers 62 years 8 months and 11 days
Current “people who wish they could chuck it all and camp their way through life”:
27 years 9 months and 23 days.
This is from a study done at Camp-O-Rama University by the Leisure Studies Department.
Iowa Dave (currently camped out with our 4 year old grandson in a state campground with 65 sites and 4 other campers total.) All tents but us. $12.00 per night. Lake MacBride State Park. Iowa. Primitive area ( flush toilets, Potable water, paved roads,) 62 degrees F and cloudy, dead calm.

I recall...

Hi: All... I'm young enough to remember... and old enough to forget!!!
Bought our first Escape at 60 thinking I'd have 5 years to pay for it. Never thought about buying another one... that just sorta happened!!! Looking back from 72 now and it all seems good!!! Alf

At the beginning of our 60s. Still a few years from retirement, and at the beginning of our adventures with Escape. It is already changing our thinking and inducing us to include more camping adventures in our plans.

Kind of think we'd be bringing the average up at 75 + 80 .......but we feel younger than Jim who feels like a yougster........ we did recently climb up the Bear's hump in Waterton....and still happy with our 15A...

We ordered our 2017 for November and picked it up early 2018. We were 65 and 63. I wanted it earlier but he was a surveyor and only had holidays in the winter months, so we waited for him to retire when he was 63. We love it.
