Calling all Ontario experts: I'm in Guelph this week on business, and I had planned to fly home Friday night, but as it turns out, I'll be in Guelph the following week as well. So, stuck here for the weekend. I'd like to get out and see some sights on Saturday or Sunday, weather permitting. Suggestions?

Are you staying in Guelph? If so you might want to explore around there and down to Kitchener Waterloo area, rather than deal with Toronto traffic. St. Jacobs just north of Waterloo is a scenic spot, bit of a tourist trap and have a wonderful farmers market (if open this early - not sure).
If you want to go into Toronto there certainly is plenty to do there, what are your interests (other than Escape)?

on edit - the farmers market is open all year, just checked - stjacobs.com
I grew up in Kitchener right near you. For sure don't miss the farmers market in St. Jacobs on Saturday morning. Get some oktoberfest sausage on a bun with the special mustard. I miss that and make sure I get it every time I go home! You also might want to check out the Elmira maple syrup festival. It's usually on around this time and what could be more Canadian than that! Another town to check out in the area is Elora. These 3 towns can all be kind of touristy but to me they have a distinctive Canadian feel to them. And you might see some Mennonites if you drive through the oh so beautiful farm country. Although having said that I remember it's not so pretty in winter!
Sure you can visit Toronto but that's an easier place to get to. You might have business there some day so it's better seen while you're in town anyway. Niagara Falls is worth seeing.
