Ah yah, now I remember getting rear ended by a guy busy watching a lovely young thing almost showing all walking down the sidewalk.

Of course I don't know that as a fact because I'm sure my eyes were firmly watching the road.

Went to college in Southern Wisconsin driving a VW Bug; during the day we had a HUGE snow dump - got to the freeway and it was closed by police due to snow. Had to drive the back roads home instead - VW Bugs could go practically anywhere - with head out the window to see as the wipers couldn't keep up.

Couple of guys on snowmobiles passed me..................!

I don't remember January, but a couple of days after Christmas, my oldest/best friend and I were surfing in Ventura. I ocean water was warmer than the air, so we were good to go until we got out. then we ran for the sun-warmed car.

Ha, I was ten years old and pretty sure I had go-go boots by 1968 which I think was the year Great-aunt Katherine took us by Haight-Ashbury when we went to visit San Fran.

We didn't have any snow like that in MO! The biggest thing I remember in 1966 was the date 6/6/66 which I found quite unique and amusing.

6/6/66 started my last week of High school. When I left I didn’t think I’d ever be back. Little did I know my three kids would go to the same school from 1991 to 2003. I spent a lot of hours in the school one time I made 9 trips over there in one day delivering them and picking them up and going to a performance.

there WAS a winter in the mid 60s where several inches of snow got dumped overnight on 'skyline', on the peninsula just south of SF, I don't remember if it was 1966. it even sleeted a little in the city, but melted as soon as it hit the ground.

1966 – I was in OCS class 16-66 at Fort Gordon, Georgia. There for 23 weeks, a time of intense, disciplined learning how to communicate, failure not an option.

Chicago's big blizzard was in 1967. As a junior in high school my mother sent me off with 24 plus inches of snow on the ground and still snowing. The Chicago School district didn't announce closures until right before schools were to open. I get to school, having walked about 3/4 of a mile, to be told that school was cancelled. Walk back home and for the only time I can remember my mother apologized to me for something she did. The rest of the time I probably deserved it.

I was a BCT Drill Sergeant at Fort Gordon 1968 to 1970. Very interesting place to be stationed, but I wouldn't want to live there.
