Wanted: Escape 15

Hi:

I am looking for a gently used Escape 15 (a or b) near Minnesota. The last several that have come up for sale have been on the west coast or BC - looking for something closer.

I was hoping that Escape would bring back the 15 for 2017, but that didn't happen.

Please PM with details.

Thanks
Pat

That may be a tough one, Pat. If you look at the Owners' Map, most 15s are clustered around the production facility in Chilliwack. Why, I don't know. Granted, the Owners' Map does not have everyone on it as it's "self-registering" but it may be an indication of the difficulty in finding one in the MW. Good luck with your search. I love my 15 and wouldn't have any other!

Karen: Yeah.... I know it's a long shot finding one in the MW. I sorry I didn't act fast enough to on the last 15 sold (just a few days ago).

I may just have to pack up the hounds and head west to find one.

Pat we probably will be selling our escape 15 this summer. We love Molly but sold our home last April and plan on living full time on the road for a few years and she is probably a little small for full timing for us. She was born in Chiliwack in April 2013 and is well cared for and loved with most of the options that Reece offered and some he didn't. If you think you are interested or just want to talk about 15 ft escapes please feel free to call us 208 251 5948. "out west". Bill and Dori

We are still looking for an Escape 15.

I believe Bill's trailer is for sale, but we are looking for something a little more basic and less money.

So.... When you are ready to sell your 15, please contact us. We really want to be Escape owners.

A day late (actually 20 minutes) and a dollar short. I missed out on another Escape 15.

There is a rumor around the campfire that several Escape 15 owners are thinking of ordering 2017 Escape models. If your one of them, please contact me, as I am willing to wait until your 2017 is delivered.

I saw a guy with a similar sign on an interstate approach corner. So extrapolating that, perhaps if a person set up a plea stop on a corner near the major rallies he'd get a bingo.
Worth a try.

Iowa Dave: As you are from Iowa, you know we live in Scamp country. I attended a rally a few weeks ago, and it was predominantly Scamps and Casitas. There was a Parkliner, Lil Snoozy, Trillium, Boler, Bigfoot and our UHaul, but no Escapes. As Karen H. Pointed out, most of the 15s (based on the owner map) are on the west cost or BC.

I know the prefect 15 is out there waiting to come home with me. As as Donna D states, I will love the one I am with (our UHaul) until then.

Pat, you've clearly done a fine job making your UHaul look nearly new. Any 15 will be lucky when you win the sweepstakes!

Thoer (aka Eric):

I know I will give the 15 a good home, what I am worried about is if the buyers of the UHaul will do the same. I see what some people do to their UHauls and I am horrified. I know..I know it's their trailer and they can do what ever they want, but I can still worry.

Hi: Lv4toys... Screen potential buyers... You don't want anyone to turn a perfectly restored retro Uhaul trailer into a "Lemonade stand"!!! Alf

Pat, yes we see quite a few Scamps up in this country. Not to brag but several times When we have been camped. Scamp owners have asked to look our 19 over. The best compliment an Escape owner can receive in my opinion is when a Scamp owner with a new camper mumbles " Well, I can see I made a mistake." Headroom for tall guys is an issue in Scamps. One camper told us that when we pulled in he asked his fellow Scamp owner, " What's that, a Scamp on Steroids?"
Attending rallies is a good way to see Escapes and while their owners are generally proud of what they have, they respect and often previously owned a different brand of fiberglass unit. And no, you're not a hoarder if you have a newer Escape and a vintage anything else. Best of luck in your 15 search. I've worked with red hot steel and it's true, you got
to have the hammer ready when it is time to strike.

An Escape 15A was posted this afternoon on FiberglassRV.com. It's in Calgary, so you might not be interested, but You can decide.

Thanks Mary F.

I have discussed the trailer with the seller. It's a beautiful trailer, but we really want water and the awning. We planned on adding them, but after factoring in those costs, it seems prudent to wait for a trailer with them already installed.

Finding a trailer close to home or even on the west coast would really simplify the transaction.

Thanks again.

I am still an Escape Wannabe......

My wife and I attended the 2016 Mississippi Escape Rendezvous. After seeing all of the beautiful trailers, it gave my wife and I a lot to think about. Unfortuneately, we are not thinking along the same lines. I still want the 15a, but she wants something larger - a 17 or 19. Personally I think it's a ploy on her part to keep our UHaul as she knows I will not trade off my beloved Tacoma.

Still looking.....
