Wanting to View an Escape

Anyone willing to let us come look at your Escape- somewhere in the vicinity of Arkansas?

Go to https://escapetrailer.com/view-an-escape-trailer/ and if it won't take your location, just zoom in on Arkansas.

Thanks. We did communicate with the Escape Manufacturer and they gave us a name to contact but it appears they are not "ambassadors" any longer.

You may have to expand your search area, back in 2012 there were few and far between owners. My first Escape purchase was sight unseen....If you can view a Casita or Scamp over on https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f46/ then you can get a good idea of the construction of the fiberglass units.

Same in some respects but very different in others. Scamps have rivets through the shell to hold all cabinetry whereas Escape uses blocking strategically glassed into the shell to avoid these add’l penetrations to the exterior. Also Scamp has an exposed OSB floor whereas Escape and Casita have a full mold that includes the bottom.

Very Helpful

I got a private message from someone about viewing theirs but when I tried to respond via private message I received this message-

"Due to abuse by spammers, new members are not allowed to send links in their private messages until they have become trusted members."

So thank you for offering and if you are reading this- we are interested!

Try again, but disguise your email address or phone number, like: ALea (AT) gmail DOT c()m
Or: sixOHfour 985 six 444 ( don't call that number - I made it up as an example ).
Phone numbers and web addresses are "hot links". You will be able to include them after ten or so posts on the forum.

Hey Jim
After 23,448 posts you must be the most trusted guy on the North American continent.
Hope you’re doing well. Thought of you today when I was running the tiller on some ground I haven’t gardened in some time. Saying to myself as I fought the roots and sod, “I hope Jim Norman appreciates this work for a couple peppers and some squash.” Hope to see you on the road one of these days. Take care of yourself.

Arkansas trip

If all goes well we will be in Arkansas around the 4th or 5th of May. We are from south Louisiana and have a 2019 21ft classic. Planning on going to the Mena area first then circling around Arkansas for a couple weeks.

Thank you!

The response to our request to view trailers has been wonderful! We have viewed a 19 and 21 and will soon be seeing a 5.0. The owners so far have showed us all their modifications, gave their what they would "order differently" and what "exceeded their expectation" lists, and were just all around gracious.

Differences

I saw about 6 scamps before buying my used 2007 Escape 17B. All looked like the fiberglass was inferior. They were older units and had a lot of chipping and spider cracks. They didn't seem to age well. I lost interest.

We saw only one Casita, it was fairly new and a really nice trailer but my research showed owners complained about the rivets popping and having to do regular inspections for that. Escape was the only trailer that compared to our 1977 Trillium 4500, and it was a really nice trailer, just old, old fridge, old furnace.
