Camp Hosts: Required to leave parks also?

Just curious, were camp hosts also required to leave their parks when the parks closed, or could they stay to help with maintenance and security?

I have a Two camping friends who went full time about 2 years ago. When I picked up my trailer last May they were doing there first camp host gig at Benbow State park in California. We stopped on the way home and camped with them for two days in the redwoods. It was great. Later they moved to Harris Beach in Oregon. They are still there Harris Beach all to themselves. What a place to Quarantine.

In fact one of the state recreation areas near us has nice camping. We went for a drive the other day and the camp host had just moved it and the road into the campground was gated
Closed. So he was probably pretty happy too. It’s hard enough to get hosts some places and campground park managers don’t want to loose a good returning year after year host.

Camp hosts are still in the Oregon State Parks. They're passive security and notify the park rangers when there's something amiss.

Be interesting to see if others chime in. Might be too much tsk tsk factor for many here to admit they're not staying home- but we know some are.

Since Alfred E. Newman is one of my mentors(along with Alf 5.0) I don't like to worry too much and along with a long standing problem with authority I'm out there doing my quarantine thing away from home 100 miles. Google this place- am not in the c.g. but on Nat'l Forest land and is it restorative. Stay safe.

The county park / campgrounds in our area has a camp host on site , mainly to control / stop vandalism and unauthorized usage
If people treated public property like it was their own then things would be different .
