It sticks into Lake of the Woods from the border between Ontario and Manitoba.

I visited "the Angle" on my way to Winnipeg for the Boler rally a couple of years ago. After arriving you have to call in to U.S. Customs to let them know. And when you leave you have to call Canadian customs to let them know you are returning to Canada. Both governments use the same phone.

I see that now, interesting. I found out years ago when reading congressional minutes for tax law research why were certain numbers used. Why this age and why blind and not deaf, etc so on for various tax benefits. Well it seems the Senator sponsoring the law had a relative that had an issue or certain age, that is why those numbers and exceptions exist. I wonder if some important person in WDC did or did not own these parcels of land and wanted to retain ownership, or would benefit, thereby creating this anomaly?

According to CTV News, Canada and the United States have agreed to extend the current border closure to all non-essential travel for at least another month.

It's been almost a month since the two countries negotiated their 30-day agreement, which shut down all non-essential travel.

The agreement allows healthcare workers to cross, and allows crossing for trade and commerce. It was set to expire in a few days.

The new agreement extends these restrictions for another 30 days.

Yes another month, listening to Trudeau's daily briefing right now and he announced this.

I understand why Canada would object to me entering their country but why we would object to Adrian entering the US baffles me .

I think the issue is Adrian would have to self isolate for 14 days upon returning to Canada.

And if this stuff continues, Canada may never open the border.

Which would be OK, we had to do that in March. Today we've been discussing how our daughter and her daughters could come visit from Kansas next month. We're contemplating that we might give them the house and we'd camp at our town park for two weeks.

Town park

Is the pool lady still there? She’s a nice person and has a good ice cream cone too. It’s not a bad place To camp at all, plenty of shade and if you need exercise, run up and down that levee a couple times. I know I was tired after my fifth trip.
Good luck Adrian

Living in Northern Wisconsin, I would feel a lot safer / happier if they closed the Florida border and opened the Canadian border .

No Mae is no longer there, in fact nobody runs the canteen now. You have to register at town hall. They put the price up this year from $15 to $25 for electrical and $10 to $15 for no power. A few campers there this year but not much else happening, we had to cancel all our Canada Day activities except fireworks. We're at the park every day though for adult swim when they remove the divider between shallow and deep ends so we can swim full lengths.

The International Peace Arch Park is a legal bubble for those international families wanting to visit each other.

Really doubt if we will see the border open again until late 2020 or early 2021 at the earliest. Even then it’s questionable.

Not if Canadians stick to their guns and keep Americans out of the country.

The last tentative date I heard for the opening of the US / Canadian Border was January 20th ,2021 at 12:01 PM
The article did not state where they obtained this information so it may be suspect . Likely an educated guess ?
